Metal supported powder catalyst matrix and processes for multiphase chemical reactions
A catalytic membrane composite that includes porous supported catalyst particles durably enmeshed in a porous fibrillated polymer membrane is provided. The porous fibrillated polymer membrane may be manipulated to take the form of a tube, disc, or diced tape and used in multiphase reaction systems. The supported catalyst particles are composed of at least one finely divided metal catalyst dispersed on a porous support substrate. High catalytic activity is gained by the effective fine dispersion of the finely divided metal catalyst such that the metal catalyst covers the support substrate and/or is interspersed in the pores of the support substrate. In some embodiments, the catalytic membrane composite may be introduced to a stirred tank autoclave reactor system, a continuous flow reactor system, or a Parr Shaker reaction system and used to effect the catalytic reaction.

A method of making the catalytic carbon capture material and a method of selective carbon dioxide capture and conversion are also provided.
SYSTEMS FOR CATALYTICALLY REMOVING OXIDIZED CONTAMINANTS FROM A FLUID AND RELATED METHODS
The present invention relates to systems and methods for catalytic removal of oxidized contaminants (for example, nitrite, chromate, chlorate, trichloroethene, CFC-11, 4-nonylphenol, RDX, and perfluorooctanoate) from water and wastewater. In some aspects, the catalytic method of removing oxidized contaminants comprises using precious metal nanoparticles as catalysts to reduce the oxidized contaminants.
Supported zeolite films and methods for preparing
A method for producing a crystalline film comprising zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals on a porous substrate is described. The method has the steps of: providing a porous support; modifying at least a surface of the top-layer of said porous support by treatment with a composition having one or more cationic polymer(s); rendering at least the outer surface of said porous support hydrophobic by treatment with a composition having one or more hydrophobic agent(s); subjecting said treated porous support to a composition having zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals thereby depositing and attaching zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals on said treated porous support, and growing a crystalline film of zeolite and/or zeolite-like crystals on said treated porous support and calcination. Crystalline films find use in a variety of fields such as in the production of membranes, catalysts etc.
