Compositions, methods, devices, and systems are provided comprising a polymer having one or more sensors.
Accessory for a Kitchen Appliance
The application relates to an accessory for a kitchen appliance, the kitchen appliance including a reading arrangement having a reading controller and at least one reading antenna connectable to the reading controller, the accessory including at least one transponder arrangement, wherein the transponder arrangement includes a transponder and an accessory position sensor connected to the transponder, wherein the accessory position sensor is configured to detect at least one accessory position parameter of the accessory, and wherein the transponder arrangement is configured to transmit the detected accessory position parameter to the reading arrangement.
ACTIVE DAMPING AND POWER CONTROL IN NFC ACTIVE LOAD MODULATION
A method for managing a signal transmission emitted by a wireless transponder to a reader is provided in which the signal transmission uses an active load modulation and includes transmitted bursts separated by pause periods. Each transmitted burst includes transmitted pulses. The method includes performing an active damping operation at the end of the transmitted bursts in the beginning of the pause periods, and the active damping operation includes transmitting a number of additional pulses having a phase opposite to the phase of the transmitted pulses. The transmitted pulses power, the additional pulses power, and the number of additional pulses are controlled based on a distance between the reader and the wireless transponder and on reference values of the transmitted pulses power, the additional pulses power, and the number respectively associated with reference distances.
Multi-layer-multi-turn structure for high efficiency wireless communication
A structure for wireless communication having a plurality of conductor layers, an insulator layer separating each of the conductor layers, and at least one connector connecting two of the conductor layers wherein an electrical resistance is reduced when an electrical signal is induced in the resonator at a predetermined frequency. The structure is capable of transmitting or receiving electrical energy and/or data at various near and far field magnetic coupling frequencies.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING COMMUNICATION BETWEEN CONTACTLESS DEVICES
The disclosure relates to a modified NFC framing is used by a reader and selected devices during at least a part of the communication between the reader and the selected devices. The reader and the selected devices store modification rules for modifying the frames. Devices not storing those modification rules will discard the received modified frames.
Bi-stable display tag
In some embodiments an apparatus includes a display module and a bi-stable display. The bi-stable display is operatively coupled to the display module and is configured to display a first image at a first time. The display module is configured to be operatively coupled to a wireless module and configured to be wirelessly powered by an external wireless power supply. The display module is configured to receive, at a second time after the first time and in response to a wireless interaction with a wireless device, (1) power from the external wireless power supply and (2) a signal from the wireless module indicative of a second image different from the first image. The bi-stable display is configured to display, in response to a signal indicative of an instruction from the display module, the second image at a third time after the second time.
FEEDBACK-PAUSE-CONTROLLED RADIOFREQUENCY CARRIER TRACKING FOR AMPLITUDE-MODULATED SIGNALS WITH AN UNSTABLE REFERENCE CLOCK
Techniques are described for accurate tracking of a radiofrequency (RF) carrier for amplitude-modulated signals in unstable reference clock environments. For example, some embodiments operate in context of clock circuits in devices configured for near-field communication (NFC) card emulation (CE) mode. The clock circuits seek to generate an internal clocking signal by tracking a clock reference, such as an RF carrier. In some cases, the clock reference can unpredictably become unreliable for periods of time, during which continued tracking of the unreliable clock reference and/or improper reacquisition can yield appreciable frequency and phase errors in the generated internal clocking signal. Some embodiments implement phase delta detection with time limiting to limit the magnitude of such errors in the internal clocking signal introduced while tracking an unreliable clock reference. Other embodiments provide feedback-pause-control (FPC) to force proper clock reference reacquisition. Such FPC can be implemented additionally with time-limited phase detection.
Device having a multi-layer-multi-turn antenna with frequency
A structure for wireless communication having a plurality of conductor layers, an insulator layer separating each of the conductor layers, and at least one connector connecting two of the conductor layers wherein an electrical resistance is reduced when an electrical signal is induced in the resonator at a predetermined frequency. The structure is capable of transmitting or receiving electrical energy and/or data at various near and far field magnetic coupling frequencies.
