The invention provides a projector calibration method for forming a spherical target image at a viewing point. The projector calibration method includes the following steps. A first preset image is projected by a first projector to a dome screen, and a first deformed image is obtained by capturing an image of the dome screen using a first camera. A spatial relationship between the first projector, the first camera, and the dome screen is calculated according to the first preset image and the first deformed image. A first prewarp image is generated according to a target image, a spatial relationship between the first projector and the dome screen, and a spatial relationship between the dome screen and the viewing point. Projection is performed by the first projector according to the first prewarp image. In addition, a projection system using the method is also provided.

The method further comprises aligning the 2D projection image and the 2D design image by comparing the projection barcode and the drawing barcode.

Method and apparatus for reducing artifacts in projection-based frame

An exemplary video processing method includes: receiving an omnidirectional content corresponding to a sphere; obtaining a plurality of projection faces from the omnidirectional content of the sphere according to a pyramid projection; creating at least one padding region; and generating a projection-based frame by packing the projection faces and the at least one padding region in a pyramid projection layout. The projection faces packed in the pyramid projection layout include a first projection face. The at least one padding region packed in the pyramid projection layout includes a first padding region. The first padding region connects with at least the first projection face, and forms at least a portion of one boundary of the pyramid projection layout.

Depth-based projection of image-based content

A projection system and method for depth-based projection of image-based content is provided. The projection system receives a sequence of image frames to be projected on a physical surface of a three-dimensional (3D) structure. The projection system controls a depth sensor to acquire depth data associated with the physical surface and feeds a first input including the acquired depth data and a first image frame of the received sequence of image frames to a neural network-based model. The projection system further receives a set of geometric correction values as a first output of the neural network-based model for the fed first input and modifies the first image frame based on the received set of geometric correction values. The projection system further controls the illumination circuitry to project the modified first image frame onto the physical surface.

Automatically generating apparel collection imagery

A system automatically generates apparel collection imagery from user-provided imagery. The user-provided imagery includes images of people wearing one or more garments. The system uses segmenting analysis to analyze the user-provided image to identify locations of the garment. From the locations of the garments, the system can determine which garments from an apparel collection can be used to replace those in the user-provided imagery. The system uses pose estimation on the user-provided imagery and modifies a preview image of a replacement garment from the collection. This modified replacement garment image is used to replace the garment in the user-provided imagery.
