IMAGING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AN UNDISTORTED WIDE VIEW IMAGE
Certain aspects of the technology disclosed herein involve combining images to generate a wide view image of a surrounding environment. Images can be recorded using an stand-alone imaging device having wide angle lenses and/or normal lenses. Images from the imaging device can be combined using methods described herein. In an embodiment, a pixel correspondence between a first image and a second image can be determined, based on a corresponding overlap area associated with the first image and the second image. Corresponding pixels in the corresponding overlap area associated with the first image and the second image can be merged based on a weight assigned to each of the corresponding pixels.

A method for decoding a 360-degree image comprises the steps of: receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding a 360-degree image; generating a prediction image by making reference to syntax information obtained from the received bitstream; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by dequantizing and inverse-transforming the bitstream, so as to obtain a decoded image; and reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image according to a projection format.

Generation of enhanced panoramic visual content
An image capture device may capture two hemispherical views of a scene. The two hemispherical view of the scene may be stitched along a stitch line. The image capture device may be rotated to align the stitch line with a mid-line of a panoramic field of view of the scene. Separate exposure settings may be used to capture the two hemispherical views of the scene, with the exposure settings increasing the dynamic range of the scene depicted within the panoramic field of view of the scene. The panoramic field of view of the scene may be punched out as panoramic visual content.
OMNIDIRECTIONAL GHOST IMAGING METHOD AND SYSTEM BASED ON THE MECHANISM OF BIO-INSPIRED RETINA-LIKE
Disclosed are an omnidirectional ghost imaging method and an omnidirectional ghost imaging system based on the mechanism of bio-inspired retina-like. According to the application, the logarithmic polar mapping characteristic of the bio-inspired retina-like structure is utilized to generate an annular pattern sequence of the bio-inspired retina-like, and the pattern sequence is utilized to modulate a light source. After being reflected by the target around the curved mirror, the light is projected onto the curved mirror and diffusely reflected. According to the reversible characteristics of the optical path, the light after diffuse reflection is reflected to the original light source by the half mirror and half lens, and the reflected light intensity with target information is received by the bucket detector. The reflected light intensity measurement value with target information is correlated with the annular pattern sequence of bio-inspired retina-like used for modulating the light source.

A method for calibrating image distortion, apparatus, electronic device, and computer readable storage medium are disclosed. The method for calibrating image distortion includes: obtaining an original image captured by a camera; calculating a deformation degree of foreground objects when the original image includes the foreground objects; and performing a distortion calibration and a spherical projection on the original image to obtain a target image when the deformation degree of the foreground objects is greater than a predetermined threshold. The method for calibrating image distortion provided by the disclosure can realize fast distortion calibration of ultra-wide-angle image with low computational complexity and obtain better calibration effect.
