The machine then generates an output image that includes the first triangular array of pixels, the second triangular array of pixels, and the rectangular array of pixels. After the output image is generated, the machine may provide the generated output image for use as a representation of rearranged image data of the spherical image.

An image conversion unit converts the obtained ultrawide-angle image into the perspective projection image as the image for confirmation based on the obtained optical axis direction and angle of view of the virtual camera. A region information drawing unit calculates a visual field region based on the viewing angle information on the angle of view of the virtual camera and superimposes and draws a rectangle indicating the calculated visual field region on the perspective projection image.

Various examples described herein are directed to systems and methods for stabilizing a panoramic video. The panoramic video may comprise a first frame captured by a panoramic camera. The panoramic camera may be positioned in a three-dimensional camera space described by an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis that are mutually orthogonal. The first frame may comprise a plurality of pixel values arranged in a pixel plane and may be continuous in a first dimension. An image processor may receive from a motion sensor data describing a rotation of the panoramic camera at a time when the panoramic camera captured the first frame. The image processor may determine a planar component of an unintended rotation of the panoramic camera about the z-axis and convert the planar component of the unintended rotation to a first frame shift in the first dimension.

The methods may include sorting a plurality of images in an order, such that: adjacent images at least partially overlap with each other; and the first image and the last image at least partially overlap with each other. The methods may also include determining mean pixel values for overlapping region of the images. The methods may also include determining consistency factors for the images. The methods may also include generating modified mean pixel values by multiplying the mean pixel values by the respective consistency factors. The methods may also include adjusting the consistency factors to reduce differences of the modified mean pixel values in the overlapping regions. The methods may further include adjusting pixel values of the images based on the respective consistency factors.
