Circuit device, electronic apparatus, and mobile body
A circuit device 100 includes an error detection circuit 110 and a processing circuit 120. The error detection circuit 110 obtains a glare index value, which is an index value indicating glare of a head-up display, based on image data IMD for head-up display. The error detection circuit 110 determines whether or not a glare index value has exceeded a first threshold value, and when the glare index value exceeds the first threshold value, detects occurrence of a first glare error. When occurrence of a first glare error is detected, the processing circuit 120 performs processing corresponding to the first glare error.
Windshield zone dimming and augmented reality head up display
A method includes detecting at least one remote vehicle that is within a predetermined distance from the host vehicle, detecting that the light of the remote vehicle that is on, determining a luminous intensity of a light beam emitted by the light of at least one remote vehicle that is within the predetermined distance from the host vehicle, comparing the luminous intensity of the light beam emitted by the light of at least one remote vehicle to a predetermined threshold to determine whether the luminous intensity of the light beam emitted by the light is greater than the predetermined threshold in response to determining the luminous intensity of the light of at least one remote vehicle that is within the predetermined distance from the host vehicle, and dimming at least a portion of the windshield of the host vehicle.
Glare and occluded view compensation for automotive and other applications
Often when there is a glare on a display screen the user may be able to mitigate the glare by tilting or otherwise moving the screen or changing their viewing position. However, when driving a car there are limited options for overcoming glares on the dashboard, especially when you are driving for a long distance in the same direction. Embodiments are directed to eliminating such glare. Other embodiments are related to mixed reality (MR) and filling in occluded areas.
Display system and vehicle
According to one embodiment, a display system includes an external light sensor, a display panel, a viewing angle control panel including a liquid crystal layer containing liquid crystal molecules twist-aligned, configured such that a drive voltage applied to the liquid crystal layer is controlled based on an external light intensity detected by the external light sensor, and a polarization axis rotation element disposed between the viewing angle control panel and the display panel. The drive voltage when the external light intensity is less than a threshold value is greater than the drive voltage when the external light intensity is greater or equal to than the threshold value.
Glass substrate and in-vehicle display device
A glass substrate includes a pair of main surfaces including a first main surface and a second main surface opposed to the first main surface; an edge surface arranged along a direction orthogonal to the pair of main surfaces; and a connecting surface arranged between the first main surface and the edge surface. The connecting surface has a plurality of pores. A difference between a 50% particle diameter of the pores in a portion 20 μm distant from the first main surface and a 50% particle diameter in a portion 20 μm distant from the edge surface is 10 μm or less.
DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method and system for reducing the effects of glare in a system comprising a picture generating unit, such as a holographic projector. The system may be a head-up display (HUD), which is configured to display a picture to a viewer, without requiring the user to look away from their usual viewpoint. The HUD system may be comprised within a vehicle. The glare in the system may be caused by light being incident on a surface comprising a screen or a window, through which the user looks at their usual viewpoint. The surface may comprise a windshield in a vehicle. The light that causes the glare may be ambient light. The method and system are provided for reducing the effects of glare in a system that comprises a waveguide in conjunction with the picture generating unit. The waveguide may be operable to act as an exit pupil expander.
DISPLAY DEVICE WITH TRANSPARENT SCREEN ELEMENT, MOTOR VEHICLE WITH DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a transparent display screen element, which has a front side and a rear side opposite to the front side, and a polarizing element arranged flatly on the rear side of the transparent display screen element. The polarizing element is to attenuate light output by at least one lighting element of the transparent display screen element. A motor vehicle may have such a display device, in particular where the display device may be arranged freestanding at or on an interior trim element of the motor vehicle.
Display device
According to one embodiment of the invention, a display device having a first region adjacent to a transflective object in a vehicle, comprising: a first light emitting unit disposed in the first region; and a light controlling means disposed on a route that a first light and a second light emitted from the first light emitting unit propagate, through which the first light is controlled to propagate out of the display device at a first angle ranged from 30 degrees to 45 degrees and toward the transflective object and the second light is controlled to propagate out of the display device at a second angle ranged from 0 degrees to 5 degrees; wherein a first ratio of a light intensity of the first light to that of the second light is less than or equal to 14%.
Control System and Electronic Apparatus
A control system includes: an image processing circuit; a first error detection circuit configured to perform first error detection on second image data; a first error code value generation circuit configured to generate a first error code value based on the second image data; a transmission interface circuit; a reception interface circuit; a second error code value generation circuit configured to generate a second error code value based on the second image data; a second error detection circuit configured to perform second error detection based on the first error code value and the second error code value; and a control circuit configured to output a control signal when an error is detected in at least one of the first error detection and the second error detection.
