INTEGRATED FASTENER FOR INSTRUMENTATION CLUSTER

An integrated fastener for an instrument cluster assembly, where multiple integrated fasteners are used to connect the front cover of the assembly to the back cover. The instrument cluster assembly includes at least one fastener integrated into the back cover, a first recessed portion formed as part of the back cover, and a separation wall formed as part of the back cover in proximity to the first recessed portion. A first mounting aperture is formed as part of the separation wall, and the integrated fastener attached to the back cover and located in the first mounting aperture when the integrated fastener is in a first configuration. The integrated fastener is detached from the back cover and rotated such that the integrated fastener is placed in a second configuration, securing the front cover to the back cover.

HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE

A head-up display device that is to be mounted in a moving vehicle and enables an occupant in the moving vehicle to view a virtual image based on a reflected image of S-polarized light in a projection section, the head-up display device including: an image projector configured to apply projection light including S-polarized light; and the projection section on which the projection light is to be projected. The projection section includes laminated glass including a first glass plate defining a surface of the laminated glass on which the projection light is to be incident, a second glass plate defining a surface of the laminated glass from which the projection light is to be emitted, and a half-wave plate disposed between the first glass plate and the second glass plate. The first glass plate and the second glass plate each are formed from a glass composition containing silicon oxide, iron oxide, and an alkali metal oxide. At least one of the first glass plate or the second glass plate has a thickness of 0.3 mm to 3 mm, a total iron oxide content in terms of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 in the glass composition of 0.2% by mass to 2.0% by mass, and a FeO content of 0.1% by mass to 0.5% by mass. The half-wave plate has visible light transmittivity and is configured to transmit light with an a* value of −2.5 to 4.5 and a b* value of −1.0 to 7.0 in a CIE color system. The reflected image is formed on a surface of the first glass plate which is to face an inside of the vehicle. The second glass plate is configured to emit from a surface thereof which is to face an outside of the vehicle the projection light converted to P-polarized light.

CENTER STACK MODULE

A vehicle instrument panel module is provided herein. The module includes a display portion including a display. A transition portion is disposed along a bottom section of the display portion. A register portion is disposed below the transition portion and has one or more airflow registers therein. The display portion, the transition portion, and the register portion each have at least one component that is integrally formed with the remaining portions of the module. A first electrical connector housing is formed with the module and configured to mate with a second electrical connector disposed within the vehicle.

Operating panel device

An operating panel device includes an operating ring, and a display device which is disposed to face a back surface of the operating ring. The display device includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The first portion is located inside the operating ring, and the second portion is located outside the operating ring. The third portion connects the first portion and the second portion. A display of the first portion changes in conjunction with a rotational operation applied to the operating ring.

A display device may include a display part, a sensor, an actuator, and a control device. The display part may include an operation surface on which a touch operation is performed by a user. The sensor may detect a displacement of the display part by the touch operation. The actuator may be configured to vibrate the display part. The control device may be configured to vibrate the display part with the actuator when the displacement of the display part by the touch operation is detected. The display part may be displaceable between a restriction position for restricting the displacement of the display part via the actuator and an allowance position for allowing the displacement of the display part via the actuator. The control device may be further configured to adjust the display part into the allowance position when a user operation for the touch operation is detected.
