LENSLESS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WITH INTEGRATION OF HARD TELLTALES AND HALO LIGHTING PROVIDING A SEAMLESS DISPLAY APPEARANCE
The invention is a robust lensless instrument cluster configured for installation in a vehicle. The instrument cluster comprises an outer case, a PCB and lighting structure, an inner frame, an optical bonding assembly, halo lighting portions, a seamless display comprising tell-tale indicators and gauges, and an outer visor. The instrument cluster further comprises a plurality of LEDs for compartmentalized and indirect lighting of the tell-tale indicators on the seamless display and the halo lighting portions around the edges of the seamless display. Because the instrument cluster is lensless and otherwise exposed to the environment, it comprises a seal system to prevent the ingress of water and dust into the interior components. The seal system can also eliminate the risk of mura in the optical bonding assembly.
VEHICLE DISPLAY APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to a vehicle display apparatus including: a display case; an arm plate elastically coupled to the display case; and a solenoid module, wherein the solenoid module includes: a moving core formed in a rod shape, and having both ends fixed to the arm plate; and a base core being elastically coupled to the display case, and having a coil formed therein which is wound in one direction to surround at least a portion of the moving core.

The disclosure relates to vacuum forming methods, apparatuses and resulting displays that represent improvements in various key areas. The methods, for example, greatly improve manufacturing throughput through reduced curing times. The methods further facilitate improved control of glass shape to a targeted shape and improved control of bond line thickness, which result in improved survivability and long-term reliability, for example.

A HUD includes a plate that connects an emission-surface of the LCD and a heat sink, is formed of a material having a higher thermal conductivity than air, and is provided with an emission-surface exhaust heat path that is formed to: include a holding region fixed to a periphery of the emission-surface directly or via a material having a higher thermal conductivity than air, and an intermediate region connecting the holding region and the heat sink; connect an end portion, which is opposite to the holding region, of the intermediate region with the heat sink directly or via a material having a higher thermal conductivity than air; extend from the emission-surface to the heat sink via the plate; and have a thermal gradient greater than that of a heat transfer path for transferring heat from the emission-surface to the heat sink by using air as a medium.

A display apparatus includes: a display panel configured to display an image, a driving circuit including: a flexible circuit film connected to the display panel, and a printed circuit board connected to the flexible circuit film, a first supporting member at a rear surface of the display panel, the first supporting member having a hole therein, and a vibration apparatus supported by the first supporting member, the vibration apparatus including a first vibration apparatus disposed at the rear surface of the display panel, wherein the flexible circuit film extends through the hole, and wherein the printed circuit board is disposed at a rear surface of the first supporting member.
COLD-FORMED GLASS ARTICLE AND ASSEMBLY PROCESS THEREOF
Embodiments of an article comprising a cold-formed glass substrate in a curved shape, a plurality of separate mechanical retainers, and a frame are disclosed. The cold-formed glass substrate has a first major surface, and a second major surface opposing the first major surface. In one more embodiments, the plurality of separate mechanical retainers are attached to the second major surface of the cold-formed glass substrate. The mechanical retainers may be attached to the frame to define a position for each of the plurality of mechanical retainers, such that the mechanical retainers define the curved shape. Embodiments of processes to form such articles are also provided. Such processes can include attaching a plurality of separate mechanical retainers to a flexible glass substrate such that the glass substrate maintains its flexibility, and attaching the mechanical retainers to a frame, such that the mechanical retainers attached to the frame define a cold-formed curved shape for the flexible glass substrate.

A console panel includes a housing and a display device. The console panel is configured to fit in an opening of an automotive console or dashboard. The housing is configured to retain and support the display device within the housing. The housing comprises a retaining portion configured to position and retain the housing within the opening. The retaining portion is an encapsulation portion that is disposed about at least a portion of the perimeter of the housing. The encapsulation portion includes a retention feature configured to retain and support the housing within the encapsulation portion. The housing further includes a complementary retention feature. The retention feature is configured to at least partially engage with the complementary retention feature.

A flexible fabric for an interior of a vehicle, in particular for a vehicle seat, having an opaque top layer, an illuminant and at least one translucent light guide layer which is arranged between the illuminant and the top layer. The top layer has a plurality of cutouts through which light emitted by the illuminant passes, and the plurality of cutouts are filled with protrusions of the at least one light guide layer. Light emitted by the illuminant is guided as far as a surface of a visible side of the flexible fabric before it passes out of the light guide layer, with the result that the protrusions arranged in the cutouts form an illuminated pattern. The flexible fabric may be used with the vehicle seat with a vehicle.
Capacitive Input Device
To provide a capacitive input device that enables the user to feel that the input operation has been done. A capacitive input device includes a surface sheet, a soft member, and a sensor sheet configured to detect a change in capacitance. The surface sheet includes an operation area on which a touching operation is to be performed. The soft member is provided between the operation area and the sensor sheet. The sensor sheet includes a sensor electrode located at a position corresponding to the operation area. When the operation area is pressed in a touching operation, the surface sheet and the soft member are displaced toward the sensor sheet and the sensor electrode detects the capacitance.
