Storm water gate with sensors
10995484 · 2021-05-04 ·

A fluid flow control and debris intercepting apparatus for controlling the flow of fluid and the introduction of debris into the entrance of a conventional curbside storm drain of the character having spaced apart side walls that define a fluid flow channel through which fluid flows. Additionally, the apparatus senses the nature and extent of contaminants contained within the fluid.

This disclosure provides quantitative, rapid, and reliable LC-MS/MS methods for analyzing panels of pesticides and mycotoxins in various samples, including very hydrophobic and chlorinated compounds normally analyzed on a GC-MS/MS system. The methods can be carried out using a single instrument and can detect and quantify levels of the pesticides and mycotoxins that are well below action limits specified by U.S. states (e.g., California) and other countries (e.g., Canada) for these compounds in cannabis products.

Device and method for certifying the life cycle of an organic product

The present invention relates to a device that allows the certification the entire life cycle of an organic product. The invention is characterized by four basic aspects: it allows to carry out automatic samplings to detect the water quality, including that in which fish/shellfish/mussel are bred; the biological liquids (urine), the solute in distilled water, the content of litter of farming livestock; it checks and guarantees that the sampling system has not been opened or modified; it generates alarms in real time and keeps track of them, for the purposes of the certification of the agro-alimentary product; it stores the information/samples in a black box accessible only to the analyzing and certifying bodies.

A TOXICANT MONITORING SYSTEM

There is provided a toxicant monitoring system for continuously monitoring level of a toxicant in wastewater comprising: a microbial electrochemical sensor; an electrical sensor; a process controller configured to execute instructions for monitoring the level of toxicant in the wastewater, the instructions including collection of a sample by an auto-sampler and generation of a notification by a telecommunication system; an input port to provide wastewater and fuel to the microbial electrochemical sensor; and an output port to receive the wastewater after the wastewater contacts the microbial electrochemical sensor.

Sensor for monitoring for the presence and measurement of aqueous aldehyde biocides

An analytical system and method for periodically monitoring an injection water distribution pipeline for the presence and concentration of formaldehyde or other aldehyde-functional biocide includes pumps, one of which provides a predetermined volume of injection water drawn from the pipeline at a sampling point and another of which provides a predetermined volume of a reagent, preferably a buffered solution of dimedone, from a reagent storage vessel, wherein the injection water and reagent are mixed and then heated in a chamber to a predetermined temperature to promote formation of any reaction products. The heated reaction mixture is passed to a detection cell and exposed to light of predetermined wavelength which, in accordance with the Hantzsch reaction, molecules having an aldehyde functional group that reacted with dimedone produce a fluorescence-emitting reaction product, the intensity of which is measured and compared to data previously obtained from standard aldehyde-containing solutions.

System and Method for Chemical Contamination Detection and Decontamination Certification
20200003746 · 2020-01-02 ·

A portable chemical contaminant detection system and related method is provided. The detection system includes a detector having one or more probes and associated detector circuitry that is in communication with a mobile device. The system is in communication with a remotely located server, where the detection system transmits contaminant detection signals while measuring a fluid from a product or a container of a chemical used on the product. The contaminant detection signals are transmitted in real-time and the detection system receives contaminant level information determined by the server. The server may process data from multiple probes to track multiple contaminants or a single contaminant based on the multiple different probe data from a single detector. The system displays real-time decontamination feedback and displays process completion notification or automatically implements decontamination shut-off. The server tracks location information and contaminant levels for products and communicates with third party certification servers.
