Electronic Park Brake Interface Module, Park Brake Controller and System

An interface module for a vehicle comprises a circuit board having a light emitting device and at least one stationary light pipe for conveying the light emitted from the light emitting device. The interface module also includes at least one electromechanical switch having a moveable actuation member and a feedback device associated with moveable actuation member. The feedback device aligns with the at least one stationary light pipe when the at least one electromechanical switch is assembled in the interface module, wherein the light emitted from the light emitting device is visible through the feedback device.

System, method and apparatus for alternate locations for a rake pivot axis for a steer-by-wire steering column

A steering column assembly including a steering column for a steer-by-wire application. The steering column extends between a first end and a second end and includes a hand wheel location on the first end and a rotation output on the second end. The steering column assembly further includes a rake bracket assembly that is spaced from the rotation output and towards the hand wheel location. The rake bracket assembly defines a pivot axis from which the steering column can tilt. During rake movement or tilting, the first end and the second end of the steering column both pivot as the steering column is adjusted about the pivot axis.

Adaptive operating device

An adaptive operating device (1) has at least one operating area (2) with at least one manually operable operating element (3). At least one of the operating elements (3) is arranged on an operating module (4) formed as a cylinder (5) rotatably mounted in the operating area (2). The operating device (1) further includes a configuration device (6) which, by changing the rotational position of the operating module (4) and/or changing the functionality of the operating element (3), configures the at least one operating element (3) in such a way that a movement of the operating element (3) corresponds to an identical movement of an item of work equipment (9) which is attached when in use.

Opening switch for a vehicle

An opening switch for a vehicle having a decorative cover assembly, a sensor housing region, and a microelectromechanical (MEMS) sensor mounted in the sensor housing region. The decorative cover assembly has an inner surface, an outer surface, an anchor portion, and a deflection portion. When contact from a vehicle user occurs at the deflection portion in the decorative cover assembly, a microdeflection occurs. The microdeflection has a microdeflection apex, and the microdeflection apex is spaced from other surfaces in the sensor housing region when the contact from the user occurs at the deflection portion in the decorative cover assembly. The MEMS sensor is configured to generate an output signal that is indicative of a force of the contact from the user. The force integrated switch can include haptic feedback and/or backlighting.

OPERATING ELEMENT FOR OPERATING AN ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

An operating element for operating an entertainment system for a motor vehicle, having an interface to a media playback unit and at least one panelling element for a vehicle compartment panelling. The operating element is an element of the panelling element. The operating element is configured for an entertainment system and is able to be stowed easily in a motor vehicle.

OPERATION DEVICE

The invention relates to a control interface (1) for controlling at least one function of a unit of a motor vehicle, the control interface comprising a base, a control key tilting in two orthogonal directions, a gimbal interposed between the control key and the base in order to define a first and a second orthogonal tilting direction, a guide rod carried by the lower face of the control key arranged opposite the base and a cruciform guide matrix aligned in the two orthogonal tilting directions and carried by the base and arranged opposite the guide rod and cooperating with the free end thereof so as to prevent tilting of the control key in a direction other than the two orthogonal tilting directions.

Electronic park brake interface module, park brake controller and system

Various examples of park brake interface modules which are utilized as human machine interfaces (HMI) in vehicles are provided. In one example, a park brake interface module for a vehicle includes a park brake switch device to actuate the park brake. The park brake switch device is capable of actuating the vehicle park brake in a brake apply mode upon receipt of a pinch signal. In another example, the park brake interface module includes a park brake switch device which is capable of actuating the vehicle park brake in a brake release mode upon receipt of a reach signal. In a further example, the park brake interface module includes recessed fixed parking brake actuation switches. In operation, the electronic interface module and park brake switch devices allow the operator to apply or release the vehicle park brakes according to memorable mnemonics, for example, “pinch to park” and “reach to release.”
