CARBON-FIBER COMPOSITE GOLF CLUB HEAD
A carbon-fiber composite golf club head comprises a carbon-fiber composite body, at least one carbon-fiber composite component and at least one weight component. The carbon-fiber composite body comprises a hollow body portion, one-piece formed by stacking carbon fiber prepreg materials, and a striking face portion disposed at a front end of the body portion. The at least one carbon-fiber composite component is mounted to at least one opening of one or both of a crown and a sole of the body portion. The at least one weight component is mounted at a rear end of the carbon-fiber composite body. By combining the carbon-fiber composite body, one-piece formed by carbon fiber composite material and comprising the body portion and the striking face portion, with the at least one carbon-fiber composite component, a weight of a main part of a club head is significantly reduced to increase a weight of counterweight.
Golf Club Head
A golf club head is formed by joining various parts to a head shell made of metal and having a hollow structure. The head shell has a region where a face and a sole are continuous with each other, thereby forming a leading edge between the face and the sole. The sole of the head shell is provided with a concave slot along the leading edge. The slot is configured to bend in a target direction upon hitting a ball with the face. A reinforcing member made of fiber reinforced plastic configured to apply a resistance to bending of the slot is attached in the slot. The slot has a thickness of, for example, about 0.8 mm to 1.3 mm and has a cross-sectional shape forming a parabola. The reinforcing member has a thickness of, for example, about 10% to 20% of the width of the slot in the target direction.
Golf Club Head With Heel and Toe Stiffeners
A golf club head with plate-like, heel and toe side internal stiffeners is disclosed herein. Each stiffener has a planar portion extending approximately parallel with a portion of the striking face, and is entirely disposed within an interior cavity of the golf club head. The heel side stiffener is connected to top, sole, and heel walls of the club head, with a toe-side edge unconnected to any other portion of the head, and the toe side stiffener is connected to the top, sole, and toe walls of the club head, with a heel-side edge unconnected to any other portion of the head. The toe and heel side edges may have large concavities that distribute mass away from the geometric face center and toward the heel and toe sides of the golf club head.

Golf club heads
Golf club heads are provided for selectively increasing or optimizing the coefficient of restitution (COR) at likely impact locations on the striking face of the golf club heads, while simultaneously maintaining characteristic time (CT) below a threshold value in those likely impact locations. By analyzing historical impact locations of a large cross-section of golfers, golf club head COR values can be increased or optimized in preferential locations on the striking face, such as using weighting factors for a predefined set of locations on the striking face. Therefore, instead of increasing COR uniformly across the face and/or increasing COR at impact locations on the face where golfers are unlikely to strike the golf ball, the sweet spot of the golf club head can be increased at the impact locations where golfers typically strike the golf ball.
Golf club having removeable weight
A golf club head including a weight mount disposed on the sole, a weight member configured to reside in the weight mount, a compressible member residing between the weight member and the weight mount, wherein the weight member comprises a longitudinal axis about which the weight member is configured to rotate, the weight member comprising projections extending radially outwards from the longitudinal axis, wherein the weight mount comprises circumferential ramps, wherein rotation of the weight member about the longitudinal axis forces the projections along the circumferential ramps, wherein the weight member goes from an unlocked position to a locked position in less than one full turn of the weight member relative to the weight mount, wherein rotation of the weight member compresses the compressible member, wherein the circumferential ramps comprise detents, wherein the projections are configured to reside in the detents when the weight member is in the locked position.
