Paging occasion reallocation of incapable user equipment
According to certain embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for paging occasion (PO) allocation is provided. The method includes determining that a PO configured for the wireless device in a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle is problematic. A non-problematic PO is selected based on one or more criteria. One or more paging messages are monitored for during the selected non-problematic PO.
Systems and methods for cookieless opt-out of device specific targeting
Systems and methods for allowing a subscriber to opt-out of targeted digital advertisements are provided. In one implementation, a mobile network operator operations support system server receives an input from a subscriber, the input comprising an account number and a stable network-level identifier. The server then causes a message to be sent to the mobile device along with a URL based on the input from the subscriber. The server receives a beacon that is generated when the subscriber visits the website, and sends a message to a mobile analytics platform server indicating a preference on whether the subscriber wants to receive targeted digital advertisements.
PDU type setting method, UE policy setting method, and related entity
A protocol data unit (PDU) type setting method, a user equipment (UE) policy setting method, and a related entity, where the PDU type setting method includes: setting, by UE, a requested PDU type of a PDU session in a process of establishing the PDU session, where the requested PDU type of the PDU session is set by the UE based on a first condition, the first condition includes an Internet Protocol (IP) version corresponding to an application, and the application is associated with the PDU session. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, the requested PDU type of the PDU session can be consistent with a PDU type requested by the application, such that the application can normally perform communication.
Access restriction for a private or neutral-host network
During operation, a computer receives an attachment request from a radio node, where the attachment request is associated with an electronic device, and includes an identifier of the radio node, an identifier of the electronic device and an identifier of a service provider. Then, the computer determines a first entity identifier of an entity based at least in part on the identifier of the radio node and a second entity identifier of the entity based at least in part on the identifier of the electronic device. When the first entity identifier matches the second entity identifier, the computer performs authentication of the electronic device. Alternatively, if the entity identifiers are different, but the identifier of the service provider matches a stored identifier, the computer performs the authentication of the electronic device. Otherwise, the computer does not allow the electronic device to attach to a private or neutral-host network.
GUTI reallocation for MT-EDT
An apparatus and a method for reallocation of global unique temporary identifier (GUTI) in 5G networks are disclosed. The method includes receiving, at a user equipment, a first message from a network, the first message including a first global unique temporary identifier and additional information, at least the first global unique temporary identifier being as-signed to the user equipment; receiving a first data transmission including the first global unique temporary identifier from the network; in response to receiving the first data transmission, deriving, at the user equipment, a second global unique temporary identifier based on the first global unique temporary identifier and the additional information; and receiving a second data transmission including the second global unique temporary identifier from the network.
Cellular telecommunications network
This disclosure provides a method in a cellular telecommunications network, and a network node for performing the method, the cellular telecommunications network including a content store, and a User Equipment (UE) wherein the UE is identifiable in the cellular telecommunications network by an identifier having a form defined by a cellular telecommunications protocol, the method including receiving a content transaction request from an external node over a wireless connection, the content transaction request including a content store identifier for identifying the content store and further including a content identifier for identifying a content item, wherein the content store identifier has the form defined by the cellular telecommunications protocol for identifying the UE; and processing the content transaction request to perform a transaction with the identified content item in the identified content store.
Integration of physical test environments with a cloud-native cellular core
Various arrangements for performing testing using a cellular network are presented. A distributed unit (DU) can be activated to be used exclusively for an isolated test environment. A communication path can be established between the DU and a radio unit (RU) located at a location to where the isolated test environment is located. Communication between the DU and a centralized unit (CU) can be established such that the CU is used as part of the isolated test environment. A test slice can be defined on the cellular network that isolates all traffic on the DU and RU from a production slice. The CU can service both the test slice and the production slice.
