Vehicular camera system
A vehicular camera system includes a camera module having an imager assembly, a main circuit board and a camera housing. The imager assembly includes (i) an imager disposed on an imager circuit board and (ii) a lens holder having a lens assembly that includes a lens barrel accommodating a lens. The imager assembly includes a flexible ribbon cable that electrically connects to an electrical connector at a multilayered PCB of the main circuit board. The camera housing includes an upper cover and a lower cover and includes a forward portion and a rearward portion. The main circuit board is accommodated within the forward and rearward portions, and the imager is disposed at the rearward portion and is not disposed at the forward portion of the camera housing. The lens holder is attached at the upper cover of the camera housing.
Head up side view mirror
A motor vehicle includes a left side view camera attached to the left lateral side of the body and having a field of view in a rearward direction. A right side view camera is attached to the right lateral side of the body and has a field of view in a rearward direction. There is a right back up camera and a left back up camera. An optics module receives resulting video signals and produces light fields such that the light fields are reflected off of windows of the motor vehicle and are then visible to a driver of the motor vehicle as virtual images.

Vehicular driver monitoring system
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through an electrochromic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are integrated into the mirror assembly that, when powered to emit near infrared light, illuminate at least a front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera is not readily apparent to an occupant sitting in the interior cabin of the vehicle. The interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly includes a processor that processes image data captured by the camera. The camera at least views a driver-side front seating area of the vehicle and, via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera, the driver seated at the driver-side front seating area is monitored.

The camera at least (a) views the driver-side front seating area of the equipped vehicle and (b) views a passenger-side front seating area of the equipped vehicle. The driver of the equipped vehicle is monitored via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera.
HEADS-UP DISPLAY VISOR DEVICE FOR AN AUTOMOBILE
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a heads-up display visor for a vehicle, such as an automobile, to provide driver assistance information to the driver. Features include a display screen that is sized and positioned relative to the driver's conventional sun visor, so as to eliminate the need to project images onto the windshield and/or to have a projector located on the vehicle dashboard. In certain embodiments, the heads-up display visor is portable, and is affixed to the driver's conventional sun visor by a clip, thereby allowing a driver to move the device from one vehicle to another.
Diaphragm for performing image position correction of a virtual image projectable on a windshield of a vehicle by means of a head-up display
A diaphragm for performing image position correction of a virtual image projectable onto a windshield of a vehicle by a head-up display. A first positioning mark, a second positioning mark, and a calibration mark are attached to a disk of the diaphragm. The disk is transparent at least in the region of the first positioning mark, the second positioning mark, and the calibration mark, so that a first image including the first positioning mark and a first positioning pattern recorded directly through the disk and output on the vehicle side, a second image including the second positioning mark and a second positioning pattern output on the vehicle side, mirrored by a mirror of the diaphragm and recorded through the disk.
Vehicle window or panel covering with service level indicator
A service level indicator system for a vehicle includes one or more sensor that provides one or more of a battery charge level, fuel fill level, oil fill level, and tire pressure level to a control system that instructs the actuation of at least one of a sun visor, shade, and tonneau cover is positioned to generate a message that is readily understood by the vehicle's operator but is ambiguous to other viewers. These components require no power after actuation and do not draw attention to any message they transmit. The position can identify the level that is deficient, and the degree of the deficiency using one or a plurality of the vehicle's components. The entire message is viewable from at least the driver's side of the vehicle and can be at least partially received from any angle of approach to the vehicle.
Vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly with cap portion
A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a reflective element assembly portion that includes a mirror reflective element and at least one pivot element, which provides adjustability of the mirror reflective element when the reflective element assembly portion is mounted within an interior cabin of a vehicle. A cap portion is adapted to attach to the reflective element assembly portion. The cap portion includes at least one accessory. The at least one accessory includes an accessory module insertable at least partially into the cap portion. Insertion of the accessory module into the cap portion connects the accessory module to the cap portion both mechanically and electrically. The cap portion may encase a rear portion of the reflective element assembly portion, and a mounting member may extend from the pivot element and through an aperture of the cap portion for mounting the mirror assembly within the interior cabin of the vehicle.
