Configurable patient ceiling lift
A ceiling lift assembly includes first and second motor units which can be operated together in a dual mode configuration and which can be operated in a single mode operation, in which only one of the motor units is operative with the other motor unit being dormant. The system provides routines for switching between the single and dual modes of the assembly and which ensure that in each mode the necessary parts of the apparatus are in an operative condition, whereas those parts of the apparatus which are not used are placed in a storage condition to avoid inconvenience or injury to personnel and patients. The apparatus also includes a motor unit support device of a structure which can accommodate asymmetric loads, on one motor unit only without causing deformation of the support structure.
Care robot
A care robot that assists a standing-upright motion or a sitting motion of a care receiver without making the care receiver uncomfortable. In the care robot, a standing-upright trajectory, along which a movement control portion of a care receiver moves, is set so a center of gravity of the care receiver is in a range of the soles of both feet between a point in time early after the start of a standing-upright motion and an end time point of the standing-upright motion of the care receiver. A sitting trajectory is set so the center of gravity of the care receiver is out of the range of the soles of both feet from a point in time early after the start of a sitting motion of the care receiver, and moves toward a predetermined sitting position of the care receiver.
Strap for sling and method for manufacturing such a strap and use of such strap
A strap is provided, intended for a sling for persons, where the strap is elongated with short end edges and longer lateral edges and comprises a first belt and a second belt. Each belt includes an inside and an outside, where the insides are turned towards one another, and the outsides are turned away from one another. The first belt and the second belt include warps and wefts. The strap has a longitudinal direction that is parallel to the warps, and a transverse direction that is parallel to the wefts. In the longitudinal direction of the strap there are a number of first sections, where the first belt and the second belt are interwoven, and second sections are provided between them, where the first belt and the second belt are not interwoven, so that an eye is formed in each of the second sections.
Sling for rotating an individual
Slings for rotation of individuals are disclosed herein. In various embodiments, a sling includes a central support section supporting at least a torso of the individual, a superior support section disposed along a first side of the central support section, an inferior support section disposed along a second side of the central support section opposing the superior support section, and straps extending from each lateral side of the central support section. The superior support section includes an anterior support flap and a posterior support flap, and at least a portion of the posterior support flap is separated from at least a portion of the anterior support flap. A central axis bisects the superior support section, the central support section, and the inferior support section such that the sling is foldable about the central axis, and the central axis acts as a fulcrum for rotating the individual.
Patient/invalid lift with support line bearing power and data communications
A patient lift for transporting patients having a hoist assembly, a lift assembly and an integrated flexible load-bearing supporting member. The flexible load-bearing supporting member is retractable into the hoist assembly and has integrated load-bearing, data communications, and power components to transmit data and/or power to/from the hoist assembly and lift assembly.
Transfer assistance device
The transfer assistance device includes a bogie, an arm tiltably supported by the bogie, a holding part that is supported by the arm and holds a torso of a person being assisted. The holding part includes at least a low pressure cell group and a high pressure cell group configured to respectively face different parts of a front surface of the torso of the person being assisted. The transfer assistance device further includes air pressure adjuster configured to individually adjust air pressure of the low pressure cell group and air pressure of the high pressure cell group.
Patient sling
The patient transfer acts as a combined sling and bed cover and includes a substantially rectangular sheet portion of a size to fit over a standard bed mattress and to which are attached a plurality of straps for coupling to a hoist. The patient transfer sheet is preferably made of a single-layered material which is breathable, strong and soft. The patient transfer sheet can act as a sling for transportation/repositioning of a patient as well as a replacement bed covering to replace conventional bed linen. The patient can thus be transported onto a bed without needing to remove the patient from the sling.
