Infrared float bar

Infrared air float bar for use in floating and drying a continuous planar web of a material in a dryer. Direct radiated or reflected infrared electromagnetic energy from an infrared light source in a removable channel assembly accelerates drying, or evaporation of solvents, or curing of web material passing in proximity to the bar, either by infrared electromagnetic energy, or in combination with convention airflow. The infrared source is cooled by pressurized air passing through an interior portion of the removable air bar channel assembly, and the air is further conducted into fluid contact with the web in an air gap between the emitter and web to promote convective heat transfer and to contribute to the air pressure field supporting web flotation. The removable channel assembly is configured for replacement of the infrared emitter and to allow the setting of the pressurized cooling air flow to the optimum level.

Drying Apparatus For Manufacturing Electrode And Method For Manufacturing Electrode Using Same

A drying device for manufacturing an electrode comprises a dryer and a transfer part. The dryer is configured to dry a coated portion of an electrode base material when an electrode slurry is applied to the coated portion on at least one surface and not applied to an uncoated portion. The transfer part includes a floating part and a traveling part coupled to an outlet of the dryer. The floating part includes an air floating plate and is configured to float the electrode base material using air. The traveling part is configured to move the electrode base material in a process direction. A method for manufacturing an electrode includes drying an electrode base material in which electrode slurry is applied on a least one surface of the electrode base material at a high temperature, and floating and transferring the electrode base material using air.

ELECTRODE DRYING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH WATER SUPPLY PART, AND METHOD FOR DRYING ELECTRODE USING SAME

Provided is an electrode drying apparatus including a moisture supply unit capable of setting the internal temperature of a drying oven to a reference value, which is a level at which the drying of an electrode to be dried is stabilized, before an electrode drying process using hot air is started, thereby preventing the electrode from being fractured by over-drying at the early stage of drying the electrode in the drying oven, and an electrode drying method using the same.

DRYING INSTALLATION

A drying installation for the continuous drying of a moving web material is provided. The installation includes radiating or heating elements, burning the gas. The installation includes a gas flow circulation system configured to suction combustion products generated by the radiating or heating elements. The gas flow circulation system also includes an extraction pipe configured for the evacuation from the installation of at least part of the combustion products suctioned by the gas flow circulation system. The installation also includes a device for treating carbon monoxide and optionally nitrogen oxides, the treatment device-including an oxidation and optionally reduction catalyst and being mounted on or downstream of said extraction pipe in order to treat the carbon monoxide and optionally the nitrogen oxides contained in the combustion products. The installation includes a regulation means configured to regulate the temperature of the catalyst at a temperature greater than or equal to 130° C.

METHOD FOR DRYING A SUBSTRATE AND AIR-DRYING MODULE AND DRYING SYSTEM

A method for at least partially drying a substrate. The method includes: (a) directing a supply air flow onto the substrate with a direction component in either the transport direction, or the opposite direction and (b) directing an exhaust air flow away from the substrate. The method is reproducible and effective and achieves an improved result with respect to the homogeneity and speed of drying because the exhaust air flow is split into a plurality of sub-flows by supplying each of the sub-flows to an individual intake channel, and because, in the event of a supply air flow in the transport direction of movement of the substrate, the supply air flow is arranged spatially upstream of the exhaust air flow and, in the event of a supply air flow in the opposite direction, the supply air flow is arranged spatially downstream of the exhaust air flow.

Thin film with non-self-aggregating uniform heterogeneity and drug delivery systems made therefrom

The invention relates to film products containing desired levels of active components and methods of their preparation. Desirably, the films disintegrate in water and may be formed by a controlled drying process, or other process that maintains the required uniformity of the film. Desirably, the films may be exposed to temperatures above that at which the active components typically degrade without concern for loss of the desired activity.

FILMS AND DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS MADE THEREFROM

The invention relates to the film products and methods of their preparation that demonstrate a non-self-aggregating uniform heterogeneity. Desirably, the films disintegrate in water and may be formed by a controlled drying process, or other process that maintains the required uniformity of the film. The films contain a polymer component, which includes polyethylene oxide optionally blended with hydrophilic cellulosic polymers. Desirably, the films also contain a pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic active agent with no more than a 10% variance of the active agent pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic active agent per unit area of the film. The invention further relates to edible multi-layer films that dissolve in water. In particular, the edible multi-layer films have a first water-soluble film layer and one or more additional water-soluble film layers in at least partial face-to-face engagement with the first film layer.

Remote nozzle deckle system

Seal member for a nozzle or an air bar, that is configured and can be positioned to block at least a portion of the flow of air (or gas) exiting or discharged from the nozzle or air bar into the interior of a housing such as a dryer or the like. Each seal member can be actuated externally of the housing interior, without requiring physical access to the housing interior, to move it into air flow blocking relation with a nozzle, and to move it out of air flow blocking relation with a nozzle. Each seal member can be actuated while the apparatus remains in an operating mode. Also disclosed is a method of controlling or regulating the amount of air emitted or discharged from one or more nozzles in a housing by blocking air flow discharged from the one or more nozzles with a seal member.
