Fractionator annular drain apparatus and method

A tank system may be conventional and fixed, or mobile, such as a fracking fluid or other tank trailer. A drain port thereof is fitted with an adapter connecting a snorkel system to drain liquids from near the top of the liquid level in the tank. A snorkel head at the extreme distal end of a tube near the longitudinal center of the tank is suspended by a system of buoys. A flow field controller plate resists formation of vortices near the snorkel head, so it can operate as near the surface as possible, withdrawing the highest grade oil efficiently. At its exit, the proximal end of the tube drains oil through an inner conduit of an adapter at a penetration in the wall of the tank. The adapter forms an annulus around the inner conduit draining tank bottoms directly from the tank.

Sedimentation tank capable of automatically adjusting liquid level and flow

The present disclosure provides a sedimentation tank capable of automatically adjusting liquid level and flow, which comprises one or more sedimentation cells which are connected in sequence, a water inlet pipe is arranged on the left side of the leftmost sedimentation cell; the front end of the water inlet pipe is bent and the input port of it is close to the wall; the highest point of the connecting pipe is lower than the highest point of the grease discharge port of the corresponding sedimentation cell, when the liquid level in the sedimentation cell reaches the discharge level of the connecting pipe, the connecting pipe automatically adjusts the flow according to different discharge level so as to adjust the liquid level of the sedimentation cell, and the settled sewage is discharged out of the tank or discharged into the next-stage sedimentation cell until the last stage, and finally discharged. The sedimentation tank has a compact and attractive structure and high space utilization, and different connecting pipe structures can be selected specifically, so as to change the capacity of adjusting the liquid level and flow of the sedimentation tank, and the sewage separation effect is thorough.

Mixed density fluid separator

A mixed density fluid separator and systems for separating fluids of different densities, as well as kits and methods employing the same, are provided. The mixed density fluid separator generally comprises a fluid separation tank having a valve control system and a vacuum pump to direct fluid processing. The tank includes an upper float ball valve having a neutrally buoyant float ball slideably retained therein by a vertically elongated guide cage that is at least twice as long as the diameter of the float ball. The mixed density fluid separator can be adapted for multiple different uses, including with rapid deployment oil-spill cleanup kits that are sufficiently lightweight and compact for easy transport, access and application.

Filtering skimmers and beaches for use in water separation and treatment

Wastewater or effluent treatment systems and methods that employ filtering skimmers and/or beaches for separating water from solids and/or other wastes are provided. In some embodiments, the systems include: at least one tank defined by a bottom wall and at least one side wall; a beach including a ramped surface disposed near a side wall of the tank, the ramped surface having a base end disposed at a first elevation relative to the bottom wall of the tank, and a top end opposite the base end at a second elevation relative to the bottom wall of the tank, the second elevation being greater than the first elevation; and a skimmer disposed in the tank that is configured to move material at a surface of the tank toward the beach, wherein (a) at least a portion of the skimmer, (b) at least a portion of the ramped surface of the beach, or (c) at least portions of both the skimmer and the ramped surface of the beach includes a filter material.
