Method and system for operating a CIP pre-flush step using fluorometric measurements of soil content
A clean-in-place process may begin with a pre-rinse step in which soil (e.g., contaminants, residual product) is flushed from industrial equipment prior to circulating a cleaning agent through the equipment. To determine when the equipment has been suitably flushed, pre-rinse fluid exiting the industrial equipment and containing soil may be fluorometrically analyzed. A concentration of the soil is determined from fluorescent emissions emitted by the soil itself. Based on this information, the pre-rinse flushing process can be controlled, for example, to minimize water usage, maximize pre-rinse cleaning, or based on any other suitable metric.
Solvent compositions for removing petroleum residue from a substrate and methods of use thereof
A method of cleaning highway and road construction equipment is disclosed.
PARTS-WASHING METHOD
A parts-washing method is described. The method comprises: (a) contacting a part with an aqueous liquid cleaning composition in a contact zone at a temperature of less than 45 degrees C., wherein the aqueous liquid cleaning composition comprises at least one alkoxylate surfactant; (b) passing at least part of the aqueous liquid cleaning composition from the contact zone to a separation housing; (c) separating the aqueous liquid cleaning composition in the separation housing to form an upper oily phase, an intermediate aqueous phase and a lower particulate phase; and (d) withdrawing at least a portion of the intermediate aqueous phase for use as the aqueous liquid cleaning composition in the contact zone.
SOLVENT COMPOSITIONS FOR REMOVING PETROLEUM RESIDUE FROM A SUBSTRATE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A method of cleaning highway and road construction equipment is disclosed.

Turbine component cleaning system and method having detergent recovery and regeneration
A turbine engine cleaning system includes a foam generator configured to generate foam, from a liquid detergent, to clean a turbine engine. The turbine engine cleaning system also includes an effluent capture and detergent regeneration sub-system having an inlet configured to receive an effluent from the turbine engine, processing components configured to process the effluent to regenerate a liquid detergent, and an outlet fluidly coupled with the foam generator to enable transport of the liquid detergent from the effluent capture and detergent regeneration sub-system to the foam generator.
