Corrugated paperboard box making machine

A machine for making corrugated paperboard boxes form corrugated paperboard sheets includes a slotter device with a blade that forms slots in the corrugated paperboard sheet. The machine can handle various sizes and configurations of corrugated paperboard sheets and can determine if the blade of the slotter device has a suitable length to form slots in each of the various corrugated paperboard sheets, using parameters including a circumferential length (N) of the slotter cylinder and dimensions (E, F, G) of the corrugated paperboard sheet.

A firearm target is formed from a cardboard substrate. A first target is printed on the cardboard substrate. The cardboard substrate is folded into a box shape. The cardboard substrate is cut to form a first flap and a second flap on a first side of the cardboard substrate. The first flap and second flap include notches. The first flap and second flap are folded over with the notches interlocked. The flaps can be oriented to the bottom of the box shape and weighted for stability. A second target can be mounted to the box shape over the first target.

A method of using a box can include obtaining the box, the box comprising a box top and a box bottom, the box top comprising a first main panel and a first end panel, at least one of the first main panel and the first end panel defining a locking tab separable from the box top; the box bottom comprising a second main panel and a second end panel, the second end panel defining a locking opening, a lateral width of the locking tab at an ear thereof being greater thanand at a neck thereof being less thana lateral width of the locking opening; inserting the locking tab into a gap defined at least in part by the second end panel, thereby hiding a portion of the locking tab behind the second end panel; and engaging the locking tab with the locking opening.

An arrangement to mount a horizontal-type automatic corrugated cardboard box machine mounting which comprises a variety of locks and interlocks to achieve an adhesive-free assembly. In the preferred embodiments, the box contains 8 locks and 8 interlocks. In the first embodiment, the display arrangement is used to mount boxes with a rectangular base and beveled corners, while in the second embodiment, it is used to assemble boxes with a rectangular base. The invention further comprises methods to automatically assemble cardboard boxes with locks and interlocks by means of each of the embodiment arrangements.
