The flat attaches to the sub-assembly by mating snap-fit engagement of the plurality of first snap-fit connectors around the divider top with the plurality of second snap-fit connectors along the divider top end.

A modular golf bag having an external frame is provided. Poles connect a frame top capable of receiving golf clubs to a frame bottom. A pliable bag body extends between the frame top and the frame bottom such that a cavity capable of receiving golf clubs through the frame top is formed. Poles may be affixed to the pliable bag body using internally positioned pole sleeves, one or more slits in the pliable bag body, or a combination thereof. Also, storage compartments may be detachably connected between the poles.

Additionally, the collapsible golf bag can include a foldable stiffening rod configured to engage a portion of the top portion of the chassis and the base of the chassis to separate the top portion and the base and extend the side walls to hold at least a portion of the sidewall taut. The golf bag kits can include a carrying container having an accessible interior, the collapsible chassis, and the foldable stiffening rod.
