The embodiments described herein are directed to a cart and related methods. The cart includes a base, a plurality of wheels connected to the base, a lower platform mounted to the base, a back panel mounted to the base, a set of lateral panels, an opening side of the cart, and a linking mechanism. The set of lateral panels defines an interior space of the cart. At least one of the set of lateral panels includes a shelf. The shelf is pivotally mounted to a rectangular frame of the at least one of the set of lateral panels. The opening side of the cart is open to provide access to the interior space of the cart. The linking mechanism is configured and arranged to connect the cart to another cart.

A handle joint base including a joint fixing base and a microswitch detachably connected thereto, wherein a trigger component is provided in the joint fixing base, and a trigger part of the trigger component is movable relative to the joint fixing base. The microswitch includes a contact for triggering the microswitch to be turned on or off. Part of the surface of the contact is exposed outside a housing of the microswitch and is arc-shaped. An outer wall surface of a first end of the trigger part is wedge-shaped. When the trigger part is pressed downward, the wedged-shaped outer wall surface abuts and presses the arc-shaped surface of the contact, driving the contact to move into the housing to trigger the microswitch to be turned on or off. Also disclosed is a carrier vehicle in a configuration of a pallet truck having the foregoing handle joint base.

A load wheel is positioned below forward ends of each of the pair of tines for raising and lowering the tine. A handle extends upward from the base, the handle including a horizontal handle, wherein the horizontal handle is substantially aligned with the axles of the rear wheels. The tines are wider and longer so that each tine can support two small nestable pallets. Each nestable pallet includes a deck, feet supporting the deck and a peripheral lip extending upward from the deck. The pallet is sized to support single stack of containers, such as standard-size totes.

A toe guard for use on a wheel assembly may include a first and second sidewall, each sidewall including an opening configured to engage with an axle of the wheel assembly. The first and second sidewalls may each further include one or more notches. The toe guard may further include a first locking pin configured to engage with at least one of the notches of the first and second sidewalls. Additionally, the toe guard may include one or more support plates connecting the first and second sidewalls, and a front plate configured to engage with at least one of the support plates or connect with at least one of the sidewalls.

The handle module can be folded to be stored or be unfolded and locked to be used by detaching or reassembling the first constraint part formed between the tube of the handle module and the mount of the lifting module, operation is easy, and the pallet truck has a small size when stored.
