Handcart
A handcart includes a cart frame, a caster, and a code reader. The cart frame includes a receiving portion on which a shopping basket is placeable and a lateral portion extending in a width direction of the cart frame. The caster is disposed at a bottom region of the cart frame. The code reader is attached to the lateral portion of the cart frame so as to be rotatable around the lateral portion. The code reader may be rotated around the lateral portion of the cart frame to a first position at which a reading window of the code reader faces an inner space of the shopping basket on the receiving portion of the cart frame, and to a second position at which the reading window of the code reader faces a front of the cart frame.
Resolving events in item-identifying carts
This disclosure is directed to item-identifying carts that may be utilized by users to automatically identify items that the users place in their carts. In addition, these carts may automatically determine the outcome of respective events that occur with respect to these identified items. For example, the carts may be configured to identify one or more items that are placed into or removed from the cart, and thereafter determine one or more actions taken with respect to the identified items and a quantity of the items involved. For example, after identifying a first item and a second item either placed into or removed from the cart, the cart may determine that the user added two instances of the first item and removed one instance of the second item. In response to making this determination, the cart may update a virtual cart of a user operating the physical cart.

HOLDER AND SYSTEM FOR MOUNTING AND SUPPORTING A SMART DEVICE ON A SHOPPING CART
A holder for mounting to a shopping cart and supporting a smart device includes a receptacle for receiving a smart device and at least one fastener for securing the receptacle to a handle of the shopping cart. The receptacle includes a planar surface having a front face, a back face, and a sidewall that extends perpendicularly away from the front face and along each side and bottom of the planar surface. The planar surface also defines a channel for receiving an accessory associated with a smart device. The length and width of the receptacle are sized to permit the upper portion of a smart device to extend out of the receptacle and to configure the manner in which the smart device is received by the receptacle. The holder can be installed on a shopping cart to provide system for holding a smart device.

In our proposed invention idea (Smart Trolley), we are planning to put so many customer friendly features into the trolley, which takes the customer's shopping experience into another level. In our proposed Smart Trolley system, we are planning to incorporate smart lock, smart pooling, product scanners, location indicator, weighing machine, e-payment system and product reminder/assistant. In the Covid-19 pandemic, technology has played a very important role in the smooth run of human life and it has also convinced the young as well as old people to make their life align with the recent advancements. With this emphasis, our invention, “Smart Trolley” will give the smart, safe and secure shopping experience to the customers as well as store owners too. Business retail's owners can also adapt the proposed system in their business platforms because the implementing cost will also be adjusted in the long run as the proposed system will help to reduce the supporting staff size.
SELF-CHECKOUT ANTI-THEFT VEHICLE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein relates to a self-checkout anti-theft vehicle system, comprising: a self-checkout vehicle having a plurality of sensors and components implemented thereon, the self-checkout vehicle being used by shoppers for storing selected merchandises in a retail environment; and a centralized computing device. The centralized computing device is configured to: obtain information related to each merchandise selected and placed into the self-checkout vehicle by a shopper by exchanging data with the plurality of sensors and components via a first communication network, identify each merchandise via a second, different communication network based at least upon the information obtained from the plurality of sensors and components, and process payment information of each merchandise.
Mobile Phone Holder
A mobile phone holder is disclosed for mounting a mobile phone to the dashboard of a car. This mobile phone holder is integrated into the back of a mobile phone or is attached to the back surface of the mobile phone through adhesive pads, or suction cups, or is incorporated into accessories of mobile phones such as attachable card holding wallets, and etc. One embodiment of this mobile phone holder creates a closed loop around the air vent bars. Hence, shakes of the car will not cause sudden detachment and falling of the phone. In Addition, this mobile phone holder is portable and is carried by the mobile phone. Hence, the user can readily have it upon using a temporary car. Moreover, since this mobile phone holder is not permanently stayed in the car, it is not exposed to extreme temperatures and thus its wear and tear is lower than conventional phone holders. The loop that is formed by this apparatus can also be used for mounting a mobile phone to the handlebar of a shopping cart, the handlebar of a bike, safety belt of a car, a belt loop, belt of a user, strap of a bag, or other accessories of a user. This apparatus can also be used as a general purpose fastener for fastening two or more objects together, hanging objects from a bar. Such general purpose fastener can be used as a toy, strap of a watch, or bracelet as well.
