Shopping cart with integrated scale and point of sale device
A shopping cart has integrated scale and point-of-sale device. The scale and credit card processing device are secured within a common housing. The bar code reader is secured within a hand wand which is detachably secured to the exterior of the scale and credit card processing device's housing. The scale and credit card processing device are secured to top center of the shopping cart's handle.

An apparatus for holding two different mobile devices on a shopping cart comprises a frame portion that extends horizontally and includes a perimeter that forms an interior region for receiving at least one of the two different mobile devices; a first opening in the interior region for receiving a handle of one of the two different mobile devices; at least one second opening for providing a line of sight view from a sensor in each of the two different mobile devices; a base portion that extends from a bottom region of the frame portion; and a removable coupling mechanism that extends between the base portion, and is constructed and arranged for coupling to a shopping cart.

A mount for a mobile telecommunications terminal device includes a receptacle for the mobile telecommunications terminal device, a first interface for transmitting data from the mobile telecommunications terminal device to the mount, a second interface for transmitting data from the mount to a point-of-sale or cash register system and a first fastening device for detachably fastening the mount to a shopping cart. A payment system, a mobile telecommunications terminal device, a scanner wall and software for locking and/or unlocking the mount are also provided.
Self-Checkout Anti-Theft Vehicle Systems and Methods
Disclosed herein relates to a self-checkout anti-theft vehicle system, comprising: a self-checkout vehicle having a plurality of sensors and components implemented thereon, the self-checkout vehicle being used by shoppers for storing selected merchandises in a retail environment; and a centralized computing device. The centralized computing device is configured to: obtain information related to each merchandise selected and placed into the self-checkout vehicle by a shopper by exchanging data with the plurality of sensors and components via a first communication network, identify each merchandise via a second, different communication network based at least upon the information obtained from the plurality of sensors and components, and process payment information of each merchandise.
Paper and/or phone holder accessory for a shopping cart
A holder accessory for a handlebar of a shopping cart is provided that includes a platform and two securing members that are attachable around and aligned with a horizontal cart push bar portion and a cart transverse portion of the shopping cart handlebar. The transverse securing member provides cantilevered support for the platform, while the push bar securing member is angularly offset from and generally oriented perpendicularly from the push bar securing member to provide support against lateral forces. A stem extends from the underside of the platform to the transverse securing member to hold the platform at a suitable angle for use. Optionally, but preferably, the platform includes a lower ledge upon which a mobile phone, paper, or pen may be rested and an upper retention member to temporarily hold or fasten paper to the platform.

Clip-on smartphone holder for a cart
A mobile phone holder is mounted to a seat back or a similar support surface of a shopping cart. The holder is a generally S-shaped clip with one bend (a mounting bend) that engages the top edge of a panel of a shopping cart and another bend (a holding bend) that receives an object to be held, such as a phone. A cutout window reveals the microphone of the held phone and/or control or home button. A back of an intermediate panel includes a horizontal flange to maintain the holder at a viewing angle relative to the seat back.
PERSONAL SHOPPING CART AND METHOD OF USE
A shopping cart basket comprises one or more modular baskets couplable to a bottom basket having a plurality of wheels extending downwardly to allow the shopping cart basket to roll. Each of the modular baskets has a foldable bottom wall that can act as a bottom of a separate basket or can be folded against a side wall of the modular basket. The modular baskets could be used to hold items within a smaller compartment, and can be combined with the bottom basket to form a roll-able shopping cart having a larger compartment. Such a cart is advantageously used in a store, such as a grocery store, a retail shopping mall, or a home improvement store.
HANDLE CLIP MECHANISM
A coupling device for removably attaching a mobile computing device having a display to a shopping cart handle comprises: a clip mechanism configured to removably couple to a shopping cart handle; a handle grip unit extending tangentially from the clip; a top surface of the handle grip unit constructed and arranged to receive and hold in place a mobile computing device having a display, the handle grip unit permitting a user to orient, rotate, or angle the coupling device, and therefore, the display of the mobile computing device, about the shopping cart handle while providing a steady grip so that the user can move the shopping cart without the mobile computing device falling off the shopping cart. The top surface has a width that is greater than a main body of the handle grip unit to directly couple with a region of the mobile computing device directly under a display of the mobile computing device.
SELF-LOCKING CLIP MECHANISM AND MOBILE DEVICE HOLDER INCORPORATING THE SAME
A clip for coupling a portable computing device to a shopping cart comprises an inner sleeve. The inner sleeve partially encircles and applies a force to a tubular element of the shopping cart. An outer sleeve partially encircles the inner sleeve and couples the inner sleeve to the tubular element of the shopping cart. One of the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve includes a protrusion that mates with a groove in the other of the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve for locking the inner sleeve in the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve further includes a interlock slide that extends from a region of the inner sleeve not encircled by the outer sleeve for communicating with a mobile device cradle. The portable computing device is coupled to the mobile device cradle. A mobile device holder holds a mobile device for a shopper while shopping in a retail store.
