A weight system includes a cart comprising a plurality of wheels and a frame on the plurality of wheels. The frame has a plurality of rails, and a basket is suspended from the plurality of rails of the frame. A weight sensor is coupled at one end to the suspended basket and attached at another end to one of the plurality of rails of the frame from which the basket is suspended. The weight sensor is adapted to detect weight change of the basket when an item is placed into or removed from the basket.

The cover has two walls and a cavity defined between the walls, and the bracket is received within the cavity such that the first and second faces each confront one of the walls. The cover further has a slot in at least one wall, such that the cover is press-fit on the bracket and the projection is received in the slot to retain the cover in connection with the bracket.

In some embodiments, shopping cart apparatuses are provided herein useful to enable a consumer to reach commercial products positioned above the consumer. In some embodiments, a cart frame having cart wheels coupled to the cart frame is provided. A slide mechanism is slidably cooperated with the cart frame. A weight-bearing platform is secured with the slide mechanism and sliding between stowed and deployed positions such that the weight-bearing platform is moved away from a rear portion of the cart frame when the slide mechanism is in the deployed position. A restricting element is positioned near a front cart wheel and restricts the rotation thereof when the slide mechanism is in the deployed position. A support element is affixed to the weight-bearing platform. An elevating element is secured to the slide mechanism and configured to elevate the cart frame when the threshold amount of pressure is applied upon the weight-bearing platform.

A cart assembly includes a cart and a container assembly that is removably supported on the cart. The container assembly may simply rest on a platform of the cart, or may be removable secured to the cart. The container assembly includes a crate and a liner that is removably received within and supported by walls defining an interior cargo space of the crate. The liner itself includes walls containing a phase change material. The walls may be defined by panels having interior spaces in which components encasing the phase change material are contained. The liners are collapsed and stored in a freezer until needed. The liners are then placed within the crates and food items requiring refrigeration are placed within the lined cargo spaced of the crates. The crates are then staged awaiting customer pickup or packed in a vehicle for customer delivery all without further refrigeration.

A flatbed shopping cart is disclosed that has a frame, a plurality of casters positioned below the frame, a handle, and a tray. The frame may form an outer perimeter of the cart, where the frame has a first side portion, a second side portion, and a central front portion. The frame may further have a first end on the first side portion and a second end on the second side portion, where the first side portion extends from the first end downward and backward along a curved surface before moving forward toward the central front portion, such that the first end of the first side portion is located forward of a connection point of a rear caster, and a portion of the first side portion extends rearward beyond the connection point of the rear caster before curving forward toward the central front portion. The tray may have a nonsymmetrical elongated hexagon shape.
