A mount for a cartridge, in particular a cartridge in column chromatography. The mount comprises: a mounting element for force-fitting or frictionally locking connection to at least one end of a cartridge, a detaching element, in particular a push-off sleeve, for releasing the cartridge from the mounting element in the direction of an axis of the cartridge, and an operating device for actuating the detaching element. The detaching element is movable between a neutral position and a detaching position. The cartridge can be mounted on the mounting element when the detaching element is in the neutral position. The cartridge can be separated from the mounting element when the detaching element is moved from the neutral position into the detaching position.

A system for decontamination of ground water containing one or more per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at water treatment plants includes a powder activated carbon (PAC) module in fluid communication with a source of water containing the PFAS, wherein the PAC module comprises at least one bag filter pre-filled with the powder activated carbon, and a filter ripening module positioned downstream of the PAC module and configured to capture excess color and turbidity, wherein the powder activated carbon has a particle size of at least about 1 micron.

The PAC module including a metering device configured to continuously dose a powder activated carbon to water treatment plant process water.
