A shopping cart handle cover comprises layers of fabric that wrap around the circumference of a shopping cart handle. An inner layer of high friction gripping fabric is in direct contact with the shopping cart handle, preventing the cover from moving around the handle when attached. Affixed along one edge of the inner layer of fabric are narrow strips of one of hook and loop fabric. Overlaying the inner layer is a layer of batting material to provide padding for comfort of the user when gripping the cover around the cart handle. An outer layer of durable fabric overlays the other layers of the cover. Affixed to the outer layer are moderately sized strips of the hook-and-loop counterpart to the strips on the inner layer, the strips on the outer layer affixed to an edge of the cover opposite the edge where strips are affixed to the inner layer.

The present invention provides a removable and disposable fitted plastic enclosure or cover for covering a shopping cart handle or a luggage cart handle for cleanliness. The plastic enclosure has two closed sides, three closed edges, and one open side for snuggly receiving in the enclosure a handle of a shopping cart or a luggage cart. An article of manufacture for a universal push bar to create a hygienically safe shopping cart according to the present invention is disclosed. The universal push bar is made of a main push bar having a first end and a second end, a pair of support members having an upper end coupled to the main push, a first support member coupled about the first end of the main push bar and a second support member coupled about the second end of the main push bar, and a pair of claiming mechanisms coupled to each lower end of the pair of support members, the pair of claiming mechanisms having a pair of opposing claiming surfaces configured to attach the clamping mechanisms to a shopping cart handle.

Disclosed is a removable handle cover device for wrapping around a bar to prevent a user's hands to be in direct contact with the bar. The handle cover comprises at least one piece of material wrappable around a handle bar, one or more spring steel elements, and a releasing mechanism for quickly removing the handle cover from the bar. The device is operative to be quickly installed and removed from the handle bar by the user with a single action, while physically isolating the user's hands from the bar. The handle cover is able to prevent the user from being exposed to contaminants on or to contaminate the surface of the bar by increasing the efficacy in the implementation and performance of proven healthy practices, reducing the risk of contamination with and spreading of contagious diseases.

A sanitary cover arrangement for a shopping cart handle includes a tubular base mount configured to be coupled around the shopping cart handle, and a plurality of sanitary film layers configured to be coupled to the shopping cart handle via the tubular base mount. A topmost layer of the plurality of sanitary film layers is removable for exposing another layer therebeneath for providing a sanitary surface for gripping the shopping cart handle. The tubular base mount comprises a first half and a second half moveable with respect to the first half to secure the tubular base mount to the shopping cart handle. A tubular outer sleeve may be provided for mounting the plurality of sanitary film layers.

The present invention relates to a system (8) for cleaning and/or disinfecting a hollow tube (4), comprising: —The hollow tube (4), —a ring (18) mounted so as to slide over the hollow tube (4), the ring (18) enclosing an absorbent pad impregnated with a disinfecting and/or degreasing liquid, and arranged around the hollow tube (4). The system (8) further comprises an electromechanical actuation device (20) for actuating the ring arranged inside the hollow tube, the device being a motorised linear potentiometer and comprising a longitudinal translational drive element (26). Moreover, a longitudinal slot (11) is provided in the hollow tube (4), the element (26) protruding through the longitudinal slot (11) and being mechanically connected to the ring (18), in order to move the ring (18) in longitudinal translation along the hollow tube (4). The hollow tube (4) can be a lever for operating a door handle (2), or indeed a tube of a bar equipping a transport means, a T-bar door pull handle or a ramp.
