An infant carrier holder has a floor with a ramp and sidewalls and is mounted to a shopping cart. The ramp and sidewalls can contribute to stably supporting an infant carrier. The holder serves as a mechanical interface between an infant carrier, which can be received in the holder, and the shopping cart. The holder can be concavely shaped to assist in shopping cart nesting in addition to supporting a received infant carrier at a desired angle. The holder can be adjustably mounted to a gate or a basket of the shopping cart and may/may not interfere with nesting operations. The holder permits an infant carrier to be supported on a shopping cart without using a significant amount of shopping cart space or interfering with nesting operations.

A seat adapter removably mounts a child seat to a wagon having two opposing walls and an interposed connecting wall, and includes two latch components that mount to the wagon's opposing walls. In some embodiments, the seat adapter includes a cross-member extending between the latch components so that the cross-member provides structural integrity to the wagon if the connecting wall is displaced from its upright use position. In some embodiments, the seat adapter and the child seat can be mounted to the wagon for use with the connecting wall in its upright use position, and in some embodiments the seat adapter and the child seat can be mounted to the wagon for use whether the connecting wall is in its upright use position or its displaced position, with no mechanical interference between any part of the wagon and any part of the adapter or the child seat mounted to it.

A rear wheel assembly is rotatably coupled to the bottom portion and located adjacent the rear portion of the body and a front wheel assembly is pivotally and rotatably coupled to the bottom portion and located adjacent the front portion of the body. A handle assembly is pivotally coupled to the front wheel assembly. A passenger compartment is defined within the upstanding perimeter wall and has a planar floor. A first seating surface is defined in the planar floor and extends from the rear portion of the wagon. A storage compartment is located beneath the passenger compartment. A second seating surface is removably coupled to the planar floor over the storage compartment. The first side portion has a wall panel that is removable from the first side portion of the wagon body and connectable to the planar floor of the passenger compartment and located adjacent to the second side portion of the wagon body.

A seat cover can be temporarily attached to the seat cushion. The seat cover can be elastic to allow insertion of the seat cushion. The seat cover can have an image affixed to the seat cover, where the different sections of the seat cover form different sections of the image, such as body and legs. The seat cover can provide friction against the seat cushion, enabling a user to climb out of the seat cushion without sliding.

Each apparatus may include: a frame having a frame base, at least one wheel, and a handle; at least one brake and a brake rod, wherein the brake rod is attached to the frame, and wherein the at least one brake actionable upon the wheel when the brake rod is actuated; a carriage pivotably attached to the frame; and a foldable backrest pivotably attached to a base of the carriage, wherein, in a nested position, the foldable backrest of the first apparatus is folded down and the carriage of the second apparatus is positioned partially within the carriage of the first apparatus such that the carriage of the second apparatus is disposed partially over the foldable backrest of the first apparatus; and the brake rod of the first apparatus is released by the handle of the second apparatus.

HANDLE RELEASE AND LOCKING MECHANISM

A handle release and locking mechanism for a wagon is provided. The mechanism has a pivotable drum, a handle secured to the drum, a release pedal, a main shaft about which the drum and release pedal pivot, and a locking pin. The release pedal moves from a locked position to an unlocked position by a user. The locking pin extends through the release pedal and the drum, and moves from a first position to a second position via movement of the release pedal. When the locking pin is in the first position the handle is locked in a generally vertical position. When the release pedal is moved to the unlocked position the locking pin is moved to the second position and the handle and pivotable drum can pivot about the main shaft.
