HAND TRUCK AND PALLET SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A hand truck for use loading and unloading items from a pallet, the hand truck having a base having a arms spaced evenly apart; a back having two or more rails, the two or more rails extending upward from two or more of the arms of the base; a handle secured to the back; and two or more wheels attached to the two or more rails; the two or more arms, the two or more rails, and the two or more wheels are horizontally aligned, thereby creating a spacings for allowing one or more elongated members of the pallet and/or shelving to fit therethrough.
Transport means
A transport means (N) includes at least one lower support (1) on which at least two cylinders, in which a material which can be a compressed gas is stored, are placed by being stacked on the top of one another; at least one body (3) having one end connected to said lower support (1); at least one first steering element (2a) disposed on the body (3) for steering the cylinders during transport, at least two motion elements (4) connected to said body (3) for providing the movement of the transport means (N), the transport means (N) including at least one thrust mechanism which allows the topmost cylinder to move closer toward the lower support (1) such that the cylinders stacked on the top of one another do not come apart during transport.
LATERALLY OPERATING PAYLOAD HANDLING DEVICE
A loading frame includes a rectangular u-shaped frame with an opening at one side, forks extendable and retractable between the closed side and the open side of the U-shaped frame, loading frame wheels on one arm of the U-shaped frame, and a truck interface on the other arm of the U-shaped frame. The loading frame wheels and truck interface support travel of the frame in a direction other than the direction of travel of the forks between the open and closed sides of the U-shaped frame.
PALLET JACK ASSEMBLY
A pallet jack includes forks which can be removably attached to the base for positioning in a horizontal use position or a vertical storage position. The base includes forwardly open sockets for receiving the forks in the use position and upwardly open sockets for receiving the forks in the storage position. A lock mechanism locks the wheels in the use position. In an alternative embodiment, the base is eliminated, with each fork having an actuator for raising and lowering the fork wheels.
A TRANSPORT MEANS
ADJUSTABLE LOAD WHEEL
A load wheel assembly for a pallet truck includes a first load arm that rotates about an axis of rotation, and a load wheel rotationally coupled to an end of the first load arm opposite from the axis of rotation. The load wheel supports a fork at an elevation above the load wheel. Additionally, the load wheel assembly includes a second load arm pivotally coupled to the first load arm at the axis of rotation and forming a load arm angle, and an adjustment mechanism further coupling the second load arm to the first load arm. The adjustment mechanism varies the load arm angle formed between the first load arm and the second load arm to adjust the elevation of the fork above the load wheel.
ADJUSTABLE SPAN TINE PALLET JACK
A pallet jack includes a base and a pair of tines extending from the base. The pair of tines including a first tine and a second tine. A load wheel supports an outer end of each of the pair of tines. Each load wheel is configured to move toward and away from the respective tine to raise the tine off a floor on which the load wheel is supported. The first tine including a support surface configured to selectively be a lowermost surface of the tine to facilitate lateral displacement of the first tine.
Pallet sled
A pallet sled includes a lower frame and a plurality of wheels supporting the lower frame. An upper frame is configured to support a pallet thereon. A ratchet is configured to lift the upper frame relative to the lower frame. A handle is configured to operate the ratchet to lift the upper frame relative to the lower frame. The handle may be pivotable relative to the lower frame. The ratchet may include a gear and a pawl. The ratchet may also be configured to selectively lower the upper frame. As another option, one or more of the handle, the upper frame or the plurality of wheels are reconfigurable between an extended position and a retracted position.
