The disclosure relates to a steering control device and method. According to the disclosure, a steering control device comprises a detachable dial including a permanent magnet, a hall sensor detecting a position of a magnet provided in the dial, and a controller receiving manager authentication information, calculating a rotation angle of the dial based on a position of the permanent magnet received from the hall sensor when the manager authentication information is valid, and transmitting a control signal to a road wheel actuator (RWA) to move a tire to a position corresponding to the rotation angle.

Steering system with switchable load reaction valve
A valve for hydraulic parallel work systems is provided. The valve includes a first pair of ports, a second pair of ports, a first connection, and a second connection. The first connection is between the first pair of ports when the valve is in a load reaction-enabling state. The first connection transmits a load reaction from a load at a steering actuator to a steering device of a hydrostatic steering circuit. The second connection is between the second pair of ports when the valve is in an electro-hydraulic steering enabling state. The second connection fluidly connects a fluid source to an electro-hydraulic steering circuit.
Systems and methods for switching between a primary driver and a secondary driver for a vehicle
A vehicle system is provided. The vehicle system includes a first driving input device, a second driving input device, and an autonomous vehicle control module. The autonomous vehicle control module is configured to monitor a driving behavior of a first driver operating the first driving input and to automatically transfer vehicle control of a vehicle from the first driver to the second driver when one or more requirements are met based on the driving behavior of the first driver. The autonomous vehicle control module is further configured to analyze switching of vehicle control between the first driver and the second driver.

Provided is a steering apparatus. The steering apparatus includes a console unit allowed to be switched left and right in front of a driver's seat and a front passenger seat in a vehicle, a handle unit connected to the console unit and configured to steer the vehicle, and a rail unit disposed on a bottom surface of the console unit and configured to provide a path through which a position of the console unit is switched left and right.

The steering apparatus includes a console unit allowed to be switched left and right in front of a driver's seat and a front passenger seat in a vehicle, a handle unit connected to the console unit and configured to steer the vehicle, and a rail unit disposed on a bottom surface of the console unit and configured to provide a path through which a position of the console unit is switched left and right.
VEHICLE HAVING MULTIPLE DRIVING POSITIONS
Vehicles, steering systems, and steering assemblies of a vehicle are provided in the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a steering system includes a track oriented substantially in a side-to-side direction with respect to the vehicle. The side-to-side direction may be substantially horizontal with a ground surface and substantially perpendicular with a forward-facing direction of the vehicle. The steering system also includes a steering wheel adapted to slide laterally along the track. In another embodiments, the present disclosure provides a vehicle comprising a steering wheel assembly adapted to be positioned in laterally variable locations with respect to the vehicle, whereby the steering wheel assembly is further adapted to enable a driver to manually operate the vehicle from a left-hand side of the vehicle and from a right-hand side of the vehicle.
VEHICLE HAVING MULTIPLE DRIVING POSITIONS
Vehicles, steering systems, and steering assemblies of a vehicle are provided in the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a steering system includes a track oriented substantially in a side-to-side direction with respect to the vehicle. The side-to-side direction may be substantially horizontal with a ground surface and substantially perpendicular with a forward-facing direction of the vehicle. The steering system also includes a steering wheel adapted to slide laterally along the track. Hydraulic steering system
A method of operating a steering system having a rotatable steering control, a steering actuator having a rod movable along a range of travel, a rotary device coupled to the steering control, and a valve assembly disposed between the rotary device and the steering actuator includes rotating the steering control in a first direction, displacing the rod toward an end of the range of travel, and determining when the rod reaches the end of the range of travel. The method also includes, after determining, actuating the valve assembly from a first position in which the rotary device is not in fluid communication with the steering actuator, to a second position in which the rotary device is in fluid communication with the steering actuator, and inhibiting further rotation of the steering control in the first direction due to back pressure on the rotary device.
Hydraulic steering system
A method of operating a steering system having a rotatable steering control, a steering actuator having a rod movable along a range of travel, a rotary device coupled to the steering control, and a valve assembly disposed between the rotary device and the steering actuator includes rotating the steering control in a first direction, displacing the rod toward an end of the range of travel, and determining when the rod reaches the end of the range of travel. The method also includes, after determining, actuating the valve assembly from a first position in which the rotary device is not in fluid communication with the steering actuator, to a second position in which the rotary device is in fluid communication with the steering actuator, and inhibiting further rotation of the steering control in the first direction due to back pressure on the rotary device.
