The invention relates to a steering gear (11) for a vehicle having a helical gear (19), the helical gear (19) having a first gear wheel (21) and a second gear wheel (22) which engages with the first gear wheel (21), a first rotation axis (23) of the first gear wheel (21) being aligned so as to be transverse to a second rotation axis (24) of the second gear wheel (22), and an axis perpendicular (25) being aligned so as to be orthogonal to the first rotation axis (23) and to the second rotation axis (24), a smallest spacing between axes (26) between the first rotation axis (23) and the second rotation axis (24) coinciding with the axis perpendicular (25), and an engagement line (33) resulting by means of common contact points (34) of the two mutually engaged gear wheels (21, 22). In order to increase the diversity in terms of variants and/or to improve the adaptation possibilities, the steering gear (11) is characterized in that the engagement line (33) is spaced apart from the axis perpendicular (25).

Technical solutions for a motor assembly for an electric power steering system are provided. The motor assembly comprises a motor configured to rotate a motor shaft to apply a drive torque to an output shaft of a steering column. The motor assembly also comprises a circuit card assembly including a torque and angle sensor disposed upon a printed circuit board and configured to measure a differential angle between rotational positions of the output shaft and an input shaft. The printed circuit board of the circuit card assembly is disposed perpendicular to a rotational axis of the steering column. The motor assembly also comprises an enclosure coupled to the motor and containing the circuit card assembly and a worm shaft coupled to rotate with the motor shaft and having a worm disposed helically thereabout for driving a worm gear coupled to the output shaft.

A multi-piece gearwheel comprising an inner core section and an external toothed ring with external teething is presented. The core section has intermeshing teeth extending radially outwards, which have an undercut in cross-section in the radial direction. The toothed ring has recesses that originate from an inner side of the tooth ring and extend radially outwards, wherein the recesses are at least partially complementary to the intermeshing teeth, and wherein the intermeshing teeth are received in the recesses. Furthermore, a gearbox for an electromechanically-assisted steering system is described.

A floating bearing for a steering gear of a motor vehicle includes a rotary bearing having an inner bearing ring for receiving a screw pinion shaft of the steering gear, and an outer bearing ring built into a bearing sleeve. The bearing sleeve interacts with a guiding element, which interacts with a holding element, such that the bearing sleeve moves relative to the holding element in a first direction oriented radially to the longitudinal axis of the bearing sleeve when the screw pinion shaft is not loaded with torque, and relative movement is prevented when the screw pinion shaft is loaded with torque by moving the bearing sleeve in relation to the holding element in a second direction that is oriented radially to the longitudinal axis and perpendicularly to the first direction, whereby the guiding element is tilted in a guiding opening of the holding element or the bearing sleeve.

A motor includes a rotor, a stator that surrounds the radial outer side of the rotor, a housing that contains the rotor and the stator, a holder axially above the stator, a substrate fixed to the axial upper side of the holder, and a connector radially outward of the housing and electrically connected to the substrate. The holder includes a holder body, and a holder protrusion that connects to the holder body and extends radially outward from the housing. The connector contacts the underside of the holder protrusion.
