11760406 · 2023-09-19 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a steer-by-wire type steering apparatus. According to present embodiments, in the steer-by-wire type steering apparatus, when a driver generates a larger steering torque than a reaction torque of a reaction motor in a steering shaft, rotation of the steering shaft can be prevented.

Steer-by-wire steering systems for vehicles and related methods

Steer-by-wire steering systems for vehicles and related methods are described herein. An example steer-by-wire steering system includes a steering wheel angle sensor to detect a current steering wheel angle (α) of a steering wheel of the motor vehicle, a steering actuator to generate a variable steering torque on a steerable wheel of the motor vehicle, a steering angle sensor to detect a current steering angle (β) of the steerable wheel, and a steer-by-wire controller to process signals from the steering wheel angle sensor and the steering angle sensor and control the steering actuator based on the signals. The steer-by-wire controller is configured to vary a transmission ratio between a change in the steering wheel angle (α) and a change in the steering angle (β).

VEHICLE STEERING DEVICE

A vehicle steering device includes an electric motor applying a steering force to a vehicle turning mechanism, a first setting portion setting a target assist torque in accordance with a steering torque, a second setting portion setting an angle controlling target torque for bringing an angular deviation between a target steering angle and an actual steering angle close to zero, a restriction processing portion restricting the angle controlling target torque set by the second setting portion, a first calculating portion calculating a target automatic steering torque using the angle controlling target torque after the restriction process by the restriction processing portion, and second calculating portions performing weighted addition of the target automatic steering torque and the target assist torque in accordance with a value that changes in accordance with a driver input to calculate a target motor torque that is a electric motor target motor torque value.

Steering system with pivot bearing

A steering system for a motor vehicle has a worm gear set, comprising a worm wheel and a worm shaft, wherein the worm shaft is rotatably mounted at least one bearing point in a housing of the worm gear set by means of a pivot bearing. The pivot bearing has an increased load capacity compared to a pivot bearing with a single-row standard deep groove ball bearing. A pivot bearing for a steering system has an inner ring and an outer ring, wherein a plurality of rolling elements is arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring. One of the bearing rings is designed as a full ring and the other bearing ring as a split bearing ring, the split bearing ring having a first ring element and a second ring element.

A steering system includes: a steering gear body, where the steering gear body includes a steering gear input shaft and a gear shaft; a decoupling mechanism, where the decoupling mechanism is configured to decouple the steering gear input shaft from the gear shaft or couple the steering gear input shaft to the gear shaft; and a limiting mechanism, where the limiting mechanism is configured to limit a range of a steering angle of the steering gear input shaft, in response to that the steering gear input shaft is decoupled from the gear shaft or that the steering gear input shaft is coupled to the gear shaft.

Electric power steering device

Even in the case that the steered wheels are turned by an actual turning angle due to a disturbance from the road surface, and the steering shaft, which is mechanically connected to the steered wheels, attempts to rotate, a command current to an assist motor is set so that the actual turning angle becomes a corrected target turning angle. The force (torque) that attempts to cause rotation of the steering shaft due to the disturbance input from the road surface is instantaneously canceled by the assist motor.
