The golf hole extender may capture within its structure a golf ball struck in the direction of the golf hole extender, thereby effectively increasing the size of the golf hole. In this way, golfers of varied skill can play on the same hole with the hole presenting varied levels of difficulty for the golfers of varied skill.

A putting training device includes a flagstick, a tape measure, and a storage cup that holds the tape measure when rolled. The flagstick inserts into a putting cup ferrule. The tape measure has distance markings and is rotatably mounted on the flagstick. The storage cup is mounted on the flagstick end opposite to the ferrule. The device may be used to train a golfer in putting by extending the tape measure from the flagstick, marking points on a circle at a predetermined practice distance placing a golf ball at each point; and striking the ball toward the putting cup. This training aid helps a player calibrate their putts with the conditions of the green, to practice putts that break from right to left or break from left to right as well as downhill putts and uphill putts, and to help with lag putting from long distances on the green.

The system also includes a cover located below the catch which covers the light source. The light source is accessible when the catch and cover are removed. The cup can be placed in a hole and then the light source illuminates the hole. A golfer can see the illuminated hole. Replacing the light source, or performing maintenance, is enhanced as the cup need not be removed to conduct such maintenance.

The connector fitting extends between and operatively connect the first and second flagstick portions. The connector fitting has a fitting cross-sectional dimension that is less than the first cross-sectional dimension of the first flagstick portion and less than the second cross-sectional dimension of the second flagstick portion.
