Steering wheel

A steering wheel includes: a cylindrical slider which is disposed on an outer side of a support member so as to slide in a front-to-rear direction and which is biased to the rear; a cap member which covers at least respective rear end portions of the support member and the slider from the rear; a movable-side contact portion which is provided inside the cap member; an annular damper holder which is mounted inside the cap member; an annular elastic member which is interposed between the slider and the damper holder; a transmitting portion which is provided in an inner circumferential portion of the damper holder; and a movement catch portion which is provided on an outer circumferential portion of the slider so as to be positioned immediately before the transmitting portion and to which a forward movement of the damper holder is transmitted through the transmitting portion.

STEERING WHEEL

A steering wheel is disclosed enabling suppressing unnecessary rocking of the airbag module during airbag activation and thereby ensures prescribed deployment performance of the airbag cushion. In detail, the steering wheel is provided with a core metal having a boss part configured so as to be mountable on a steering shaft and an airbag module movably provided with respect to the core metal and having an airbag cushion that can be expanded and deployed. The stopper of the core metal is separated from the stopper contact part of the airbag module in a non-activated state of the airbag, and comes into contact with the stopper contact part due to movement or deformation of the airbag module caused by expansion and deployment of the airbag cushion during activation of the airbag.

STEERING WHEEL

A steering wheel enabling suppressing hanging down of an airbag module due to its own weight and stabilizing the position of the airbag module. The steering wheel includes a steering wheel body, an airbag module, and at least one coil spring that biases the airbag module in a direction separating from the steering wheel body. The coil spring is arranged between the steering wheel body and the airbag module in a state with the axis line thereof offset from that of a free state; thereby applying a force on the airbag module in a direction that intersects with the axis line of the coil spring in a free state.

STEERING WHEEL

A steering wheel includes a functional device and a control device, which is electrically connected to the functional device. The functional device includes a functional case, which constitutes a housing of the functional device. The control device includes a control case, which constitutes a housing of the control device. A first connector is partially exposed to an outside of the functional case. A second connector is partially exposed to an outside of the control case. The first connector is coupled to the second connector, so that the functional device is electrically connected to the control device without a harness between the functional case and the control case.

Vibration absorber and vibration absorber assembly

A vibration absorber comprising a supporting device, an oscillating mass, at least one coil device, and at least on permanent magnet device. The coil device includes at least one winding. A permanent magnet of the permanent magnet device generates a magnetic field extending through a yoke device of the permanent magnet device and through a part of the windings such that when current flows through the windings in a suitable manner, two forces are generated that act between the supporting device and the permanent magnet device and include an angle unequal to 0.

Dampening driver airbag assemblies and related systems and methods

Driver airbag cushion assemblies comprising dampening means. In some embodiments, the assembly may comprise a driver airbag module, a steering wheel armature, and an intermediate plate positioned between the driver airbag module and the steering wheel armature. The assembly may further comprise one or more horn actuators, such as horn springs coupled to the airbag module, and one or more dampening members. The one or more dampening members may be used to couple two or more of the armature, plate, and airbag module together. In some embodiments, the dampening member(s) may be functionally and/or physically decoupled from the one or more horn actuators.

STEERING WHEEL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

A steering wheel deice comprising: a horn spring provided between a steering wheel and an airbag module which serves as a damper mass; a damper unit provided on the airbag module; and a pin, one end of which is held by the steering wheel, and at another end of which the damper unit is disposed in a slidable manner. A conduction circuit of a horn includes: the pin which is formed from an electrically conductive material; a horn contact that is provided on the airbag module and that contacts and separates from the pin due to elastic deformation of the horn spring; and a U-shaped spring that is provided to the steering wheel and that conducts by clipping the pin.
