A collector used to collect bone includes: a container body defining an interior containment space for receiving and retaining collected bone, and having at least one open end for access and removal of collected bone from the interior containment space; and a cap in covering relation to the open end of the container body such that access to the interior containment space for removal of collected bone is inhibited. The collector includes an intake port defining an opening for receiving therein a distal end of a kerrison rongeur for collecting cut bone from a cutting area thereof, and the cap includes at least one scraper for engaging and dislodging cut bone from the cutting area of a distal end of a kerrison rongeur when received within the intake port. The collector preferably is used with a kerrison-type rongeur for collecting cut bone therefrom.

A golf bag including a body defining a housing adapted to receive one or more golf clubs, and extending between a bottom portion and a top portion. The golf bag further includes an attachment mechanism coupled to the body and configured to secure a first portion of a towel.

A method for calculating distance information according to the present invention includes: acquiring a current location; reading out map information of a golf course corresponding to the current location; calculating a horizontal distance to a target of the golf course from the current location by using the map information; calculating two first direction intersection where a straight line in a first direction, connecting the current location and the target, and a green boundary line of the golf course meet; calculating two second direction intersection where a straight line, which is perpendicular to the first direction and passes through the target, and the green boundary line meet; and calculating edge distances between the target and the two first direction intersection and between the target and the two second direction intersection.

A golf towel, with a connector for attaching it to a golf bag or golf cart, can be used to clean and dry golf clubs, golf balls, and other golf accessories and can also be used for a golfer to dry their hands or face while out on a golf course. A protective device for a golf bag includes a panel member folded over to form a U-shape such that a first and second protective member extend from sides of a common midsection. A small electronic device used to perform alignment of a lined golf ball in preparation for putting. The device is battery powered and includes one or more motors for rotating the golf ball at a high speed. The device further includes one or more photonic line sensors disposed at the golf ball for identifying the line on the golf ball and for communicating with a microcontroller which coordinates the electric rotation motors to align the golf ball to the device. The electronic device also features a mechanical loading mechanism which holds the golf ball for rotation during the alignment process and releases the golf ball to the putting green without rotation when alignment is complete.
