METHOD FOR INDICATING PARKING POSITION AND VEHICLE-MOUNTED DEVICE
A method for indicating to a user the exact location of a parked vehicle includes obtaining a plurality of panoramic images of a vehicle when being driven using a panoramic lens. A direction of driving of the vehicle is identified based on the panoramic images and a determination as to location is made when the vehicle arrives at a parking location. When the vehicle is parked, parking position information is sent to a mobile terminal held by the driver or other user. A vehicle-mounted device for implementing the method is also disclosed.
VEHICULAR TRAILER ASSIST SYSTEM
A vehicular trailer assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and viewing a portion of a trailer hitched at a hitch of the vehicle. During a reversing maneuver of the vehicle and hitched trailer, the vehicular trailer assist system, responsive to processing at an electronic control unit (ECU) of image data captured by the camera, determines a trailer angle of the trailer relative to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Based at least in part on the determined trailer angle, the vehicular trailer assist system determines a trailer direction of movement of the trailer while the vehicle is reversing with the trailer hitched at the hitch of the vehicle. The vehicular trailer assist system determines a virtual destination location rearward of the trailer and in the determined trailer direction and controls steering of the vehicle to reverse the trailer towards the virtual destination location.
User interface for reversing a trailer with automated steering system
A trailer reversing assist system for controlling reversing operations of a vehicle and trailer connected to the vehicle includes a module that detects an angle of the trailer relative to the vehicle, and outputs a trailer angle signal corresponding to the detected angle. The system also includes a human machine interface (HMI) device that provides an output signal based upon an input of the user, where the generated output signal includes information regarding magnitude and direction of a desired change to the angle. The system calculates a trailer trajectory that positions the trailer at a target location or calculates a trailer trajectory correction, wherein the calculation is performed using the output signal as corresponding to a change relative to the detected angle, and the detected angle corresponds to the trailer angle signal generated at the time of operation of the HMI device by the user.
Image processing apparatus and method
An image processing apparatus includes a conversion unit, a generation unit, and a processing unit. The conversion unit is configured to convert an original image received from a plurality of cameras into a top view image. The generation unit is configured to generate a surround view monitor (SVM) image by synthesizing a bottom image extracted from the top view image and a wall image extracted from the original image. The processing unit is configured to generate a modified SVM image by adjusting an area of the bottom image and an area of the wall image according to an adjustment condition, and to process the generated image into a display signal.
Driver assistance system for a transportation vehicle, transportation vehicle, method for operating a driver assistance system or a transportation vehicle parking robot system for a transportation vehicle having a plurality of wheels, and method for operating a parking robot system
A parking robot system for a transportation vehicle having wheels and a method for operating a parking robot system. The parking robot system includes a main robot and secondary robots and a method for operating a parking robot system. The secondary robots each have a pair of wheel support arms and each move up autonomously, with the wheel support arms folded in, from outside next to one of the wheels of the transportation vehicle. The secondary robots each lift up the respective wheel by folding out the respective pair of wheel support arms. The main robot accompanies the secondary robot with the lifted up transportation vehicle during travel to a prescribed target position.
PARKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND PARKING ASSISTANCE METHOD
A parking assistance device includes a range setting unit configured to set a search range searching for an obstacle based on a movement range of a host vehicle for a case in which the host vehicle is moved along a parking route, in terms of two directions, and a judgment unit configured to detect an object having a possibility of interfering with the movement of the host vehicle, based on the surrounding condition around the host vehicle, in a case in which the detected object is positioned within the search range, to judge whether the detected object is an obstacle interfering with the movement of the host vehicle along the parking route, and, in a case in which the detected object is positioned outside the search range, not to make judgment whether the detected object is the obstacle.
Apparatus and Method for Assisting Driving of Vehicle on Spiral Ramp
An embodiment apparatus for assisting driving of a vehicle on a spiral ramp includes a spiral ramp determining module configured to determine whether a vehicle travels on a spiral ramp that guides rotation of the vehicle in a specific direction, by using an image of the spiral ramp acquired by a camera included in the vehicle, and a side mirror control module configured to automatically lower a side mirror installed on a side of the vehicle to which the vehicle rotates to an angle to show a view of a rear wheel in response to a determination that the vehicle travels on the spiral ramp.
Parking assistance device
A parking assistance device for resetting a parking path when an obstacle is on the parking path includes a pull-out path computing unit that computes a pull-out path for pulling the vehicle out of the parking space based on parking space information and constraints regarding vehicle behavior, a candidate connection position setting unit that sets a plurality of candidate connection positions on the pull-out path, a reachable path computing unit that computes a reachable path for allowing the vehicle to reach at least one of the candidate connection positions from the initial position, a parking path setting unit that sets a parking path of from the initial position to the parking space by connecting the pull-out and reachable paths, and a path resetting unit that computes a parking path of from the stop position to the parking space, and sets the computed parking path as a new parking path.
Hitch assist system featuring trailer location identification
A hitch assist system is provided herein. The system includes an imager for capturing images of a rear-vehicle scene containing a trailer and a controller for processing the captured images. A device is disposed at a trailer location and has a display configured to flash a shape at a predetermined frequency and alternating in color. The controller identifies the shape in the captured images to determine the trailer location.
Apparatus and method for controlling parked vehicle using connected system
A method for controlling a parked vehicle includes receiving vehicle identification information from a first terminal, specifying a target vehicle to be controlled based on the vehicle identification information, waking up the target vehicle to be controlled and transitioning the target vehicle to be controlled to a movable state, and transmitting a moving direction to the target vehicle to be controlled.
