Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure includes a front side member, a body attachment structure and an off-center impact structure. The front side member defines a hollow interior, an outboard wall and an inboard wall. The body attachment structure is attached to the outboard wall of the front side member. The off-center impact structure has a first end portion, a second end portion and a main section extending from the first end portion to the second end portion. The first end portion extends through an outboard forward opening and into the hollow interior of the front side member and is rigidly connected to the front side member forward of the body attachment structure. The second end portion is attached to the front side member at a location rearward of the body attachment structure with the main section extending outboard of the body attachment structure.
Vehicle
A golf car includes a frame including main frames and cross members, an undercover that includes a front cover and a rear cover and is supported by the frame, and an engine room including an underside defined by the undercover. The front cover includes a rear end region provided with pawls. The rear cover includes a front end region provided with pawls. All of the pawls are engaged with the cross member. The front cover is fixed to the cross member and the main frames with fasteners, and the rear cover includes a rear end region fixed to the main frames with fasteners. The front cover and the rear cover include water drainage holes.

CONTROL ARM WITH TUNABLE FRACTURE FEATURES
A control arm includes a wheel side end, a body side end, a first connecting member extending between the wheel side end and the body side end, a second connecting member extending between the wheel side end and the body side end, and having a reduced section portion, and a fracture zone extending through the first and second connecting members in a substantially fore-aft direction of the vehicle, the reduced section portion being within the fracture zone. A thickness of the reduced section portion is tunable to establish a controlled fracturing during a small overlap rigid barrier impact event where: (i) an initial fracture of the first connecting member occurs within the fracture zone, and (ii) a secondary fracture of the second connecting member occurs within the fracture zone at the reduced section portion, to thereby provide a desired rearward trajectory of the wheel assembly during the impact event.
VEHICLE STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS FOR SORB IMPACT EVENTS
A structural small overlap rigid barrier (SORB) joining bracket for a vehicle having an underbody hold-down assembly, a cowl side assembly, and a body mount assembly configured to connect a vehicle body to a vehicle frame includes a cowl side coupling first portion configured to couple to the cowl side assembly, and an underbody coupling second portion configured to couple to the underbody hold-down assembly and the body mount assembly. The SORB joining bracket couples and maintains structural integrity between the underbody hold-down assembly and the cowl side assembly, and couples with the body mount assembly to increase vehicle load capacity by providing a direct load path into the frame of the vehicle. A frame extension tube assembly creates additional strength and stiffness via stack-up with the SORB joining bracket.

STRUCTURAL JOINING PART FOR SORB IMPACT EVENTS
A structural panel joining part for a vehicle having an underbody hold-down panel, a floor panel, a dash panel, and a cowl side panel includes an underbody coupling first portion configured to couple to at least one of the underbody hold-down panel and the floor panel, a dash panel coupling second portion configured to couple to the dash panel, and a cowl side coupling third portion configured to couple to the cowl side panel. The structural panel joining part maintains structural integrity between the underbody hold-down panel, the floor panel, the dash panel, and the cowl side panel to provide structural reinforcement during small overlap rigid barrier impacts to facilitate reducing structural intrusion into an occupant compartment of the vehicle.
Vehicle front portion structure
A vehicle front portion structure that includes: a first lateral connecting member that is disposed between a pair of left and right front side members, and that connects the pair of left and right front side members parallel to a vehicle transverse direction, wherein vehicle longitudinal direction positions of portions, to which the first lateral connecting member is joined, at the pair of left and right front side members coincide with vehicle longitudinal direction positions of portions, to which front side joining portions of a suspension member are joined, at the pair of left and right front side members.

Utility vehicle
A utility vehicle includes a rear frame, a front frame and a coupling body. A height of a vertical section of the front frame is shorter than a height of a vertical section of the rear frame tube, and a ground clearance of an upper face of the front frame tube is shorter than a ground clearance of an upper face of the rear frame. The coupling body connects a rear end of the front frame with a front end of the rear frame. An upper face member of the coupling body includes a forwardly descending sloped face that interconnects an upper face of the rear frame with an upper face of the front frame. A front differential unit is mounted on the front frame. A front drive shaft having a constant velocity joint extends from the front differential unit forwardly of the coupling body and upwardly of the front frame.
