CHASSIS CAB VEHICLE

A chassis cab vehicle includes a lower frame, which constitutes a lower structure of the vehicle and is equipped with a pair of side members extending in a lengthwise direction of the vehicle. A battery is coupled between the side members. An upper body is coupled to a front portion of the lower frame and forms a cabin interior. A side sill is formed at a lower end at each side of the upper body and extends to a rear side of the cabin interior. The side sills overlap the respective side members in a lateral direction of the vehicle when coupled to the lower frame.

Vehicle structure

An off-center impact reinforcement structure includes a push arm proximate rearward of a front portion of the vehicle frame. The push arm extends in a forward and laterally outboard direction from a front side member. A rear surface of the push arm is located below the first side member. During an initial stage of an off-center impact event in which a stationary barrier directly impacts a front surface of the push arm, impacting forces from the off-center impact event move the rear surface of the push arm into contact with brackets that extend downward from the front side member and transfer through the push arm to brackets and to the vehicle frame. In a second stage, a rear surface of the push arm contacts the vehicle frame as the push arm pivots with the front surface of the push arm moving in a laterally outboard direction.

VEHICLE STRUCTURE

A vehicle structure includes a vehicle frame with a first side member, a front suspension structure and a stop structure. The stop structure is installed to a first side member rearward of the front suspension structure. The stop structure extends outboard from the first side member and includes an upper surface, a lower surface and a main surface. The upper surface and the lower surface are horizontally oriented. The main surface is vertically oriented and includes a first section, a second section and a third section. The first section is attached to the first side member. The second section extends outboard from the first section defining a forward-facing stop surface that extends to a distal outboard end of the stop structure. The third section extends rearward from the second section, with the first section, the second section and the third section defining vertically oriented exterior surfaces.

VEHICLE STRUCTURE

A vehicle structure includes a vehicle frame and a beam. The vehicle frame has a first side member and a second side member extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction and a cross-member extending in a vehicle lateral direction from the first side member to the second side member perpendicular to the first side member and the second side member. A first end of the beam is connected to one of the first side member or the second side member at a location spaced apart from the cross-member. A second end of the beam is connected to the cross-member at a location spaced apart from both the first side member and the second side member such that the beam is angularly offset from the cross-member with an angle of between 35 and 60 degrees defined between the cross-member and the beam.

VEHICLE LOWER PORTION STRUCTURE

In a vehicle lower portion structure, a plurality of cross members are suspended along a vehicle width direction between a pair of side rails. Further, an oil pan guard is suspended along a longitudinal direction between a No. 2 cross member and a No. 3 cross member to protect an oil pan of a transmission from below. When a vehicle collides on its front, engagement between the oil pan guard and the cross member is released, to thereby prevent a decrease in the amount of collision energy to be absorbed by the pair of side rails.

A golf car includes a frame including main frames and cross members, an undercover that includes a front cover and a rear cover and is supported by the frame, and an engine room including an underside defined by the undercover. The front cover includes a rear end region provided with pawls. The rear cover includes a front end region provided with pawls. All of the pawls are engaged with the cross member. The front cover is fixed to the cross member and the main frames with fasteners, and the rear cover includes a rear end region fixed to the main frames with fasteners. The front cover and the rear cover include water drainage holes.

A modular transmission support secures a variety of transmissions to various vehicle frames. The modular transmission support comprises a crossmember that provides user-selectable positioning and attachment of vehicle transmissions. The crossmember comprises one or more trusses and a mounting pad or a set of mounting pads that may be secured at various positions at a concave section of the crossmember's trusses. One or more truss supports secure the crossmember to a vehicle at one or more predefined locations.

A vehicle body structure includes a front side member, a body attachment structure and an off-center impact structure. The front side member defines a hollow interior, an outboard wall and an inboard wall. The body attachment structure is attached to the outboard wall of the front side member. The off-center impact structure has a first end portion, a second end portion and a main section extending from the first end portion to the second end portion. The first end portion extends through an outboard forward opening and into the hollow interior of the front side member and is rigidly connected to the front side member forward of the body attachment structure. The second end portion is attached to the front side member at a location rearward of the body attachment structure with the main section extending outboard of the body attachment structure.
