Method for manufacturing a lacrosse head pocket

A lacrosse head pocket includes a plug unit having first and second plugs disposed on a cross lace. The plugs are overmolded by first and/or second runners constructed from a polymeric material so that the plugs are joined with the first and/or second runners. The cross lace extends outwardly from the plug and the overmolded first and/or second runners. Some plug units can have cross laces that cross one another, while other plug units might not include cross laces that cross one another. A method is also provided including: forming a first plug on a first cross lace, placing the first plug in a mold, overmolding a first runner over at least a portion of the plug so the plug and first runner are joined, and optionally overmolding a second plug joined with the cross lace with a second runner or the same first runner.

A game stick and game are disclosed. The game stick includes a shaft with a head at one end. A channel wide enough for a game ball is defined in the head. The ball is placed in the channel and when the game stick is swung, the ball rides along the channel and is released therefrom to fly through the air. The head may be adjustable to affect the way in which the ball is thrown. The game is similar to golf except that instead of hitting the ball, the ball is thrown toward a target location at the end of a fairway. When the target location is reached, the game stick may be used as a putter to push or putt the ball to sink it into a sunken cup in the ground.

In one aspect of the invention, a resistance level may be determined based on a thickness of the rod and a position of an applied force with respect to a fulcrum point. In another aspect of the invention, at least one spine may be attached to the beam to increase a diameter of the beam along one axis. The resistance level may be determined based on the thickness of the rod, the position of the applied force and an orientation of the at least one spine with regard to the direction of the applied force. In other aspects of the invention, the resilient rods may be incorporated into a golf club that provides for adjustable resistance levels.
