Embodiments provide a lacrosse head with an enhanced pocket channel and sweet spot. The head includes first and second tabs protruding rearwardly from the rearward face of the transverse wall, with the transverse wall defining at least one inner pocket member opening disposed between first and second outer pocket member openings on the respective tabs. A first rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the first tab, a second rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the at least one inner pocket member opening, and a third rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the second tab may lie on an arc shape that is more curved than the curved shape of the transverse wall, to provide a cylindrically-shaped pocket channel. Each sidewall may have a rearward lower edge portion that extends generally parallel to the horizontal centerline and an intermediate lower edge portion that rapidly descends to a lowest point, to enhance the sweet spot of the head.

Game Stick

A game stick for use with a golf ball, the game stick including a shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal end and the distal end and a head coupled to the distal end of the shaft. The head has a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a bottom wall defining a channel extending radially from the longitudinal axis, the channel configured to receive the golf ball. The game stick further includes surface disposed on an exterior surface of the head, the striking surface being comprised of a different material than the head.

Lacrosse Stick and Substrate for Pocket

A substrate is mountable on a lacrosse stick head to form a pocket. The head has a throat attached to a shaft, a ball stop attached to the throat, a scoop distal to the throat, and sidewalls extending between the ball stop and the scoop. The substrate includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion is positioned proximate to the scoop and the bottom portion is positioned between the top and the ball stop. The top and bottom portions include yarn knit to form the substrate. A method of making the substrate includes casting the yarn onto a needle, knitting the top and bottom portions, casting the yarn off the needle, tying off the yarn and attaching the substrate to the head.

Embodiments provide a lacrosse head having a pocket stringing system that includes attachment members that allow for rapid, direct attachment of a pocket to the head. A lacrosse head may include cleats protruding from the sidewalls at a rearward portion of the pocket area nearest the juncture, sidewall hooks protruding from the sidewalls at a forward portion of the pocket area forward of the rearward portion, and scoop hooks protruding in the forward direction from the front face of the scoop. Each cleat may have a rearwardly-projecting arm and a forwardly-projecting arm. Each sidewall hook may have a rearwardly-projecting arm. A first scoop hook may tension a pocket toward a first sidewall hook on a first sidewall, and a second scoop hook may tension the pocket toward a second sidewall hook on a second sidewall, so as to form a ball channel in the pocket.

In some embodiments, a method receives a plurality of swatch configurations that each define combinations for lightness values, saturation values, and hue values and receives information associated with a characteristic of an image. A swatch configuration is selected based on the information where the swatch configuration defines a plurality of combinations for lightness values, saturation values, and hue values. The method generates a plurality of colors using the plurality of combinations for lightness values, saturation values, and hue values by varying at least one of the saturation value, the lightness value, and the hue value for the plurality of colors. The plurality of colors are applied to an interface that is displaying the image.

A removable cover for a lacrosse stick of the type having an elongated hollow shaft having an outer surface and an inner surface and an interior channel extending therethrough and a free end portion with an open end which serves as a handle portion of said lacrosse stick. The cover includes an end cap configured and dimensioned to be removably mountable in a friction fit manner on the free end portion of the hollow shaft. The end cap has a head portion and an elongated, resilient hollow body portion attached to said head portion and insertable into the open end of the free end portion of the hollow shaft. A flexible, resilient, membrane-like, tubular sheath is removably mountable on the outer surface of the free end portion of the hollow shaft and is movable thereon between a furled position in which the sheath is rolled longitudinally on and along said free end portion of the hollow shaft onto itself to form a rolled-up tubular sheath disposed adjacent to the end cap, and an unfurled position, in which the rolled-up tubular sheath is unrolled longitudinally on and along the outer surface of the free end portion of the hollow shaft. The tubular sheath is dimensioned to create a friction fit when mounted on the hollow shaft. The sheath has a flap which is inserted into the open end and interior channel of the shaft. Both the sheath and the flap are removably secured to the end cap.
