Drifting kart
Drifting karts in accordance with embodiments of the invention are described that include a front wheel drive train and rear caster wheels that can be dynamically engaged to induce and control drift during a turn. One embodiment of the invention includes a chassis to which a steering column is mounted, where the steering column includes at least one front steerable wheel configured to be driven by an electric motor, a battery housing mounted to the chassis, where the battery housing contains a controller and at least one battery, wiring configured to provide power from the at least one battery to the electric motor, two caster wheels mounted to the chassis, where each caster wheel is configured to rotate around a rotational axis and swivel around a swivel axis, and a hand lever configured to dynamically engage the caster wheels to induce and control drift during a turn.
OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A utility vehicle comprising a frame, a body supported by the frame, a seating area supported by the frame, front and rear ground engaging members supporting the frame and the body, and a powertrain drivingly coupled to the front and rear ground engaging members, the powertrain including an engine having a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinders, a cylinder head removably coupled to the cylinder block, a crankcase having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion of the crankcase being removably coupled to the cylinder block, and at least one gasket positioned between the cylinder block and the first portion of the crankcase, the at least one gasket configured to individually seal each of the plurality of cylinders relative to the first portion of the crankcase.
Work Vehicle
A work vehicle includes a lower frame 15, support frames 21 joined to left and right portions of the lower frame 15 and extending upward, suspension arms 25 and 26 supported by the support frames 21, and uprights supported by the suspension arms 25 and 26 and supporting wheels. The work vehicle also includes suspension springs 31 connected to the suspension arms 25 and 26 and the support frames 21, and dampers 32 connected to the suspension arms 25 and 26 and the support frames 21. The lower frame 15 is joined to a body frame.
Conversion kit for front differential on a utility vehicle
A conversion kit for replacing a bottom-mounted differential with a top-mounted differential using pre-existing mounting features of a vehicle. The kit includes a pair of support members, a pair of mounting gussets, a support plate, and a skid plate. The support members are coupled along top side edges of the top-mounted differential. The support members are coupled to forward and rearward frame members within a differential cavity of a vehicle using the mounting gussets and tabs on the support members and using fasteners installed in pre-existing mounting holes in the vehicle. The top-mounted differential is positioned to maintain substantially the same location and orientation of couplings with a drive train of the vehicle as those used by the bottom-mounted differential. The support plate extends between the support members and optionally supports a winch. The skid plate encloses a clearance opening formed in a pre-existing armor plate of the vehicle.
