Front end structure of vehicle body
A front end structure of a vehicle body may include: a pair of left and right front side members each extending in a vehicle front-rear direction; a pair of left and right apron upper members each extending in the vehicle front-rear direction and being located outward of the pair of left and right front side members in the vehicle left-right direction; a pair of left and right connection members, the left connection member extending between an intermediate portion of the left front side member and the left apron upper member and the right connection member extending between an intermediate portion of the right front side member and the right apron upper member; and a component mount frame comprising a first mount crossmember extending between the pair of left and right connection members in the vehicle left-right direction.
A WHEEL ARCH AND WHEEL ARCH ASSEMBLY
A wheel arch for housing at least one wheel of a vehicle and for attachment to a chassis of a vehicle is described. The wheel arch comprises a load bearing mounting point, wherein the wheel arch is configured to receive, in use, forces at the load bearing mounting point from a vehicle component mounted at the load bearing mounting point. A vehicle and a method of assembling a vehicle comprising the wheel arch is also described.
Front vehicle-body structure of vehicle
There are provided a cowl provided to support a front windshield in an inclined state where a rear side of the front windshield is located at a higher level than a front side of the front windshield and forming a lower edge of an opening portion for arranging the front windshield and a bonnet provided in front of and above the cowl. An upper portion of the cowl comprises a first face portion to which the front windshield adheres and an inclined second face portion which extends obliquely rearwardly-and-downwardly from the first face portion, and a front end of the first face portion is positioned on a rearward side, in a vehicle longitudinal direction, of a rear end of the bonnet.
Rear vehicle-body structure of vehicle
A rear vehicle-body structure for suppressing deformation of a corner portion of a lift gate opening is provided, including a pair of left and right inner wheel wells having damper supports; and a framework member on a rear side of the inner wheel wells forming an opening edge of a back door opening. The framework member includes a header extending in a vehicle width direction forming an upper end edge of the back door opening; and pillars extending from the header to a vehicle lower side via corner portions of the back door opening. A pair of gussets connect rear portions of the inner wheel wells and the pillars to each other; a pair of connecting members connect the rear portions of the inner wheel wells and places near the corner portions to each other; and the gussets and the connecting members are joined at places near the damper supports.
VEHICLE SUSPENSION TOWER STRUCTURE
A rigid suspension tower structure includes a sus-tower for supporting a damper, and a bracket for mounting a component to be secured to the sus-tower. The sus-tower includes a curved side wall portion joined to a front side frame of a vehicle body and extending upward, and a top portion supporting the upper end of the damper. The side wall portion has a pair of mounting portions made of bulging portions. The mounting portions are formed on mutually different sides in a vehicle front-rear direction with a virtual line interposed therebetween, the line being formed by intersecting the side wall portion and a plane that extends parallel to a vehicle width direction and passes through the central axis of the damper. The bracket straddles the line and is secured to the mounting portions.
VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE FOR SUSPENSION MOUNTING
A vehicle body structure for suspension mounting includes a cross-sectional structure and a connecting structure of a vehicle body on which a rear suspension is mounted that exhibits vehicle body strength with a reduced number of components. A mounting panel is provided on a wheel housing panel and has a plurality of mounting holes through which a top portion of a suspension extends so as to be mounted on the mounting panel. A reinforcing unit is provided in the mounting panel and has a shape of a ring surrounding the mounting holes.
Support structure for vehicle component
A support structure is provided for a vehicle component disposed inside a power-unit chamber where a powertrain unit of the vehicle is disposed. The support structure includes the power-unit chamber including a side frame extending in a vehicle front-and-rear direction, and a suspension tower housing formed overlapping with a part of the side frame in a plan view seen from above the vehicle. The vehicle component is disposed at a location where the vehicle component overlaps with the side frame in the plan view and forward of the suspension tower housing in the vehicle front-and-rear direction. The vehicle component is supported by one of the side frame, and a support member coupled to an inward side surface of a closed-cross-section member connected to the side frame at a location forward of the suspension tower housing in the vehicle front-and-rear direction.
REAR VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE
A rear vehicle body structure includes two opposite rear side members to which wheelhouse panels are respectively coupled and spring seats positioned respectively at lower sides of the two opposite rear side members.
Front vehicle-body structure for vehicle
A front vehicle-body structure which reduces third-order vibration of a windshield, and improves NVH performance in a vehicle cabin. A front windshield fixed to an edge portion of an opening formed in a vehicle body, a pair of left and right front suspension housings, a cowl forming a lower edge of the opening for the front windshield, and a tower bar coupling each of the left and right front suspension housings with a region around a vehicle-width-direction center portion of the cowl are provided. Node members, each of which locally improves bending rigidity of the cowl, are disposed in two positions in the cowl that divide a bonding surface to a windshield lower edge into generally three equal parts in the vehicle width direction, and the tower bar is fixed between respective positions of the two node members in the cowl.
Vehicle wet dry barrier support structures and techniques
A wet dry barrier support system for a vehicle includes a support structure portion with mounting locations for mounting suspension components of a vehicle, mounting locations for coupling to a body of the vehicle, and a barrier portion to provide an environmental barrier to separate a first area of the vehicle from a second area of a vehicle. The support structure portion may provide a stiff mounting interface between the body and the suspension components by transferring loads therebetween and may define a through-cavity configured to pass a vehicle component through the through-cavity. The barrier portion may plastically deform upon receiving an energetic input from an impact of the vehicle and may prevent the wet dry barrier support system from entering a passenger compartment during the impact.
