SIDE BODY STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
A vehicle side body structure is provided, which includes a hinge pillar having inner and outer hinge pillar members forming, in a vehicle side part, a closed section space extending in vehicle vertical directions, a side sill having a member forming, on a rear side of the hinge pillar, a closed section space extending in vehicle longitudinal directions, and a closed section space component forming a closed section space extending continuously in the longitudinal directions along an outer surface of the inner hinge pillar member and connecting to the closed section space of the side sill on the rear side. The inner hinge pillar member is formed with a bend-facilitating portion adjacently disposed on the front side of a front end of the closed section space component, extending vertically continuously or intermittently, and protruding outwardly due to a stress concentration by a frontal impact load applied to the hinge pillar.
CAST-IN INSERTION MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A cast-in insertion member out of which a core inserted during casting of cast portion can easily be pulled, and production method thereof are provided. Inside covering portion is formed to cover the interior of one end of pipe. During the casting, inside covering portion is interposed between the inner surface of the one end of pipe and the outer surface of the tip of the core put into pipe, so that a bite between pipe and the core by contraction of pipe due to molding shrinkage of cast portion can be prevented. Inside covering portion includes tapered surface on the side of recess, which gradually widens from the one end to the other end of pipe. After molding of cast portion, tapered surface making contact with the outer surface of the tip of the core gradually widens in the direction opposite to that of putting the core into pipe.
Cowl structure
An outer glass contact section, which is parallel to and comes into close contact with the outer surface of a windscreen, and inner glass contact parts, which have lips that press the inner surface of the windscreen, are formed at the vehicle rear-side edge of a cowl body. The lips each have a folded shape or a curved shape, have a folding point for the folded shape or a curving point for the curved shape as a boundary, and include a base-side first lip section and a distal-side second lip section.

INTEGRATED FASTENER FOR INSTRUMENTATION CLUSTER
An integrated fastener for an instrument cluster assembly, where multiple integrated fasteners are used to connect the front cover of the assembly to the back cover. The instrument cluster assembly includes at least one fastener integrated into the back cover, a first recessed portion formed as part of the back cover, and a separation wall formed as part of the back cover in proximity to the first recessed portion. A first mounting aperture is formed as part of the separation wall, and the integrated fastener attached to the back cover and located in the first mounting aperture when the integrated fastener is in a first configuration. The integrated fastener is detached from the back cover and rotated such that the integrated fastener is placed in a second configuration, securing the front cover to the back cover.

Water-assisted injection molded cross-car beam
A method of forming a cross-car beam is provided. A composite is melted to form a viscous polymer. The polymer is injected into a mold. Pressurized fluid is injected into the mold to evacuate a portion of the viscous polymer from the mold and to form a channel therethrough. The remaining viscous polymer is cooled within the mold to form a cross-car beam.
Vehicle-body structure of vehicle
A vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a vehicle-body frame member forming an opening portion for entrance at a vehicle side part and a front side door provided so as to open and close the opening portion, wherein the front side door comprises a door panel portion and reinforcement portions provided at a peripheral part of the door panel portion such that the reinforcement portions overlap with the vehicle-body frame member in a vehicle side view, the reinforcement portions being made of a plate member.
Front vehicle body reinforcing structure and assembling method thereof
A front vehicle body reinforcing structure may include a dash panel configured to partition an engine room and a passenger room, front side members deployed at both left and right sides in a width direction of a vehicle, formed to extend in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and having rear portions coupled to an outer surface of the dash panel, and a dash upper reinforcing member overlapped with an inner surface of the dash panel to be coupled together with the front side member.
