POWER CONTROL UNIT MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
A power control unit mounting structure mounted on a vehicle includes an engine in an engine room at a front of the vehicle, an intake manifold disposed above the engine, a power control unit that is disposed above the engine, coupled to a cable, and controls power of a drive motor, and a toeboard cross member disposed on a toeboard. The engine and the toeboard cross member partly overlap in a projected plane along a fore-and-aft direction to provide a space behind the control unit in a front view of the vehicle. The intake manifold and the control unit are disposed within a contour of the engine in a plan view of the vehicle. The intake manifold is disposed ahead of the control unit, and portions of intake pipes of the intake manifold on both sides extend rearward and are partly opposed to both side surfaces of the control unit.
Instrument panel structure of vehicle
The disclosure provides an instrument panel structure of a vehicle, which is connected to a steering device of the vehicle and configured to mount an in-vehicle device. The instrument panel structure of the vehicle includes an the instrument panel, a hanger beam member, and a bracket. The instrument panel has an instrument panel upper portion, and an instrument panel middle portion located below the instrument panel upper portion and having an opening for placing the in-vehicle device. The hanger beam member is configured to support the instrument panel and extends in a left-right direction of the vehicle and is connected between a left side and a right side of a vehicle body. The bracket is disposed on the hanger beam member and configured to support the in-vehicle device. The in-vehicle device and the instrument panel middle portion are connected to the hanger beam member via the bracket.
Electrically conductive, polymeric vehicle component
A vehicle component includes a polymeric material, a first filler, and a second filler. The polymeric material can be present at a concentration of at least about 35% by weight of the vehicle component. The first filler can be a carbon-containing filler dispersed within the polymeric material. The carbon-containing filler can be present at a concentration of at least about 20% by weight of the vehicle component. The second filler includes a substrate and carbon nanotubes. The carbon nanotubes extend from a surface of the substrate.
Front structure of vehicle body
A front portion of a vehicle body includes front side frames, a subframe, and a vehicle compartment front structure body. The subframe has a subframe body, a front fastening portion fastened to the front side frame in a front region of the subframe body, and a rear fastening portion fastened and fixed to the vehicle compartment front structure body in a rear region of the subframe body. The rear fastening portion has a first convex portion protruding toward a vehicle rear side. A part of a steering gear box constitutes a second convex portion protruding upward from the subframe body. The front fastening portion has a third convex portion protruding upward from the front region of the subframe body. The vehicle compartment front structure body has a first inclined guide portion, a second inclined guide portion, and a third inclined guide portion having front surfaces to contact the convex portions.
VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE HAVING A CENTER FRAME THAT IS HIGHER THAN A FLOOR PANEL
A vehicle-body structure includes a floor panel constituting a floor of an occupant space, a center frame disposed to be higher than and away from the floor panel at a vehicle-width-direction central portion of the occupant space and extending in a front-rear direction, a cross member extending and intersecting the center frame in a plan view in the occupant space, and a connecting member extending upward from the cross member, having an upper portion fixed to the center frame, and connecting the center frame to the cross member.
Vehicle instrument panel assembly
An instrument panel assembly for a vehicle includes an instrument panel body including a driver-side portion, a center stack portion, and a passenger-side portion. A cross-car beam assembly is configured to at least partially support the instrument panel body and includes a horizontal member extending across at least the passenger-side portion of the instrument panel body. A first lower reinforcement bracket is spaced apart from the horizontal member and extends across the passenger-side portion of the instrument panel body. A second lower reinforcement bracket is coupled with the first lower reinforcement bracket. A vertical reinforcement bracket extends between the horizontal member and the first and second lower reinforcement brackets. The vertical reinforcement bracket includes a curved portion proximate a first end and coupled with the horizontal member. A second end of the vertical reinforcement bracket is coupled with at least one of the first and second lower reinforcement brackets.
OPENWORK STRUCTURAL ELEMENT FOR DASHBOARD, ASSOCIATED CROSSMEMBER AND CORRESPONDING DASHBOARD
A structural element forms a motor vehicle dashboard body that is intended to be installed in a transverse installation position inside a vehicle passenger compartment. The structural element has a one-piece openwork structure produced by three-dimensional printing. The openwork structure defines: a first internal passage that passes all the way through the structural element and extends transversely when the structural element is in the installation position. The first passage is shaped so as to receive a crossmember that is in particular bent with a constant radius of curvature and having at least two fastening elements that are intended to be fastened to the crossmember. A second internal passage connects the first passage to a face of the structural element that is directed toward the rear of the vehicle when the structural element is in the installation position. The second passage has at least one fastening element that is intended to fasten a steering column fastening support.
