Transverse beam for composite floor structure and method of making the same
A composite floor structure having a plurality of transverse beams. Each transverse beam may include a preform core having a plurality of side surfaces and two end surfaces, and at least one reinforcing layer formed around each of the side surfaces of the preform core.
Automotive tray and assembly method
The present invention provides a method for assembling an automotive tray assembly. The method involves capping at least one edge of a load-bearing tray to provide a safe edge and/or aesthetically pleasing finish. Preferably, the method involves using fasteners, including bolts or rivets for example, without the need for welding.
A TRAILER
A trailer having a plurality of elongate floor members, each of the floor members connected to an adjacent floor member to define a floor of the trailer, side wall members attached to opposed sides of the floor, an axle assembly attached to the side wall members, and a tongue assembly attached to the side wall members.
Composite sandwich structure
The invention relates to a composite sandwich base panel for a Unit Load Device. The panel comprises an upper surface layer comprising fibre reinforcement material, a lower surface layer comprising fibre reinforcement material, and a central core section where at least the majority comprises a plurality of particles bound in a matrix material. The upper surface layer and lower surface layer are provided with a matrix material to bind them to the central core section.
Systems and methods for protection of floorings in shipping containers
An exemplary approach for protecting floorings in containers may utilize a first ledger attached to an upper portion of a first support beam associated with a foundational base assembly. A portion of the first ledger may protrude outward in a first horizontal direction from the upper portion of the first support beam. A second ledger may be attached to an upper portion of a second support beam next to the first support beam. A portion of the second ledger may protrude outward in a second horizontal direction from the upper portion of the second support beam. The second horizontal direction may face the first horizontal direction. A support panel may be placed on top of the portion of the first ledger and the portion of the second ledger. The support panel may have a length proximate to a distance between the first support beam and the second support beam.
BREAKAWAY SYSTEM FOR CAPTIVE BEAM SYSTEM
A breakaway system for use with a decking system may include a bracket that is configured to be capable of sliding along a track and a carrier that is releasably coupled to the bracket. The bracket and the carrier may be configured to be separated when an upward force is applied upon the bracket and not upon the carrier.
CONFIGURABLE COMMON DECK SYSTEM
A configurable common deck system includes a support frame, and a plurality of decking planks. The support frame is configured to attach to the original equipment (OE) chassis of a vehicle. The plurality of decking planks is configured to cover the support frame to create a deck. Wherein, the deck has a customizable size with a length, a width and a height.
Extruded component floor structure
A floor structure is assembled from a plurality of extruded aluminum planks that extend laterally across the bed of a truck floor positioned on an undercarriage of a center beam and cross beams. The planks each have one or more ribs on their underside to strengthen the floor structure and provide a mechanical means for connecting adjacent planks together. Each plank is configured with a female end rib and a male end rib that interlock to restrain movement relative the adjacent planks in all directions except the lateral direction. Side rails are attached to the floor structure at the edges of the plank bed to prevent movement of the planks in the lateral direction.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes: a vehicle cabin having a flat floor surface and being configured such that a user can embark; an entrance through which the user can embark and can disembark; a ramp that, at the entrance, extends from the floor surface toward a vehicle exterior; and a turntable that is provided at the floor surface and configured to enable directional change.
System for containing a load on an open bed
A trailer can include an open bed, a frame, an actuator, and a pin. The open bed can extend a width and a length. The frame can support the open bed. The actuator can be mounted on the frame. The pin can be mounted on the frame along a periphery of the open bed. The pin can be drivable by the actuator in reciprocating movement transverse to the length between a first pin end limit of travel defining a .[.refracted.]. .Iadd.retracted .Iaddend.position and a second pin end limit of travel defining an extended position. The pin can be recessed from the open bed when in the retracted position and extend above the open bed when in the extended position.
