Composite floor structure and method of making the same
A composite floor structure and method of making the same are disclosed. The composite floor structure may include a platform and a plurality of transverse beams. The composite floor structure may also include at least one longitudinal beam and a plurality of insert beams to accommodate the longitudinal beam. The composite floor structure may also include an underlayment between the plurality of transverse beams and the at least one longitudinal beam. Some or all of these components may be integrally molded together to form a fiber-reinforced polymer structure. The composite floor structure may be used for cargo vehicles and other applications.

A floor securing apparatus comprises a riser slot formed in a floor riser transverse to a longitudinal axis of the floor riser, the floor riser configured to support a floor sheet and a key including a locking head and at least one anchor tab, wherein the key is slidable into the riser slot transverse to the longitudinal axis of the floor riser, wherein the key is configured to engage a portion of the floor sheet to prevent vertical movement of the floor sheet relative to the floor riser.
Interlocking weldless connection for metal components
A weldless connection for connecting two components together, including first and second components having respective first faces which are disposed in flush engagement with each other, and having respective second faces which are planar and are substantially aligned with each other along a same plane, and a plate which is disposed so as overlap portions of the aligned second faces of the components. One edge of the plate is curved into a hook shape, a recess is formed into the second face of the first component and receives the curved edge of the plate therein for connecting the plate to the first component while permitting some relative movement between the plate and first component, and a portion of the plate which overlaps the second face of the second component is fixed thereto.

A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground engaging members and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. The frame assembly extends generally along a longitudinal axis of the utility vehicle. The utility vehicle further includes a front seating section coupled to the frame. The front seating section is configured to support an operator and a first passenger. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes a rear seating section coupled to the frame. The rear seating section is configured to support a second passenger and a third passenger. The rear seating section has an angled panel configured as a dead pedal for the second and third passengers, and a portion of the rear seating section extends forwardly into the front seating section.
Rear impact guard assembly for trailers
A semi-trailer has a rear impact guard including an elongated horizontal member that attaches to a trailer by a pair of vertical guards. The horizontal member may have a top surface, a bottom surface, and a leading edge from which a surface of the guard member extends rearward to the top or bottom surface. The rear impact guard may include a pair of gussets that extend from the vertical guards. Each gusset may include a main generally planar portion, a first stiffening flange perpendicular to the main portion, and a second stiffening flange perpendicular to the first stiffening flange.
Galvanized Vehicle Frame Assemblies and Methods for Forming the Same
The present invention relates to a vehicle frame assembly and methods of forming such assemblies as well as bracket for use in such assemblies. The assemblies include crossmembers arranged transversely and one or more rails extending longitudinally with respect to the crossmembers. Brackets are provided for connecting the crossmembers to the rail, and each bracket includes a first plate, a second plate and a connection section connecting the first plate to the second plate and bridging an area between the first and second plates. The first plates and the second plates of the brackets are configured to engage and be secured to either a surface of the at least one rail or a surface of the plurality of crossmembers. The brackets are configures so that when the first plates are secured to the surface of a rail, the second plates are secured to the surface of a crossmember and when the first plates are secured to the surface of a crossmember, the second plates are secured to the surface of a rail. The plurality of crossmembers or the at least one rail or both are galvanized, and may be galvanized before assembly of the frame. The brackets may also be galvanized.

Land vehicles, modular systems for forming monocoques of land vehicles, and methods of forming monocoques of land vehicles using modular systems are envisioned. In certain embodiments, the land vehicles are provided as delivery vehicles and/or utility vehicles. A land vehicle includes a monocoque supporting a plurality of wheels to permit movement of the vehicle relative to an underlying surface in use of the land vehicle.

A utility raceway for a commercial cargo body. The utility raceway includes an interior defined between a first side, a second side, a third side opposite the first side, and a fourth side opposite the second side. The utility raceway also includes a plurality of internal utility cavities separated by at least one vertically-oriented flange extending between the first and third sides, a first living hinge formed between the first side and the second side, and a second living hinge formed between the second side and the third side. The first side is pivotable relative to the second side about the first living hinge and the third side is pivotable relative to the second side about the second living hinge.

A composite wood floor board assembled adjacent to another composite wood floor board, each the board comprising: a top layer of laminated hardwood comprising: a top side; a bottom side; a first lateral side; and a second lateral side opposite the first lateral side, wherein at least one of the first and second lateral sides is formed without shiplap lips; and a bottom layer comprising a planar fiber-reinforced polymer composite that is bonded to the bottom side of the top layer of the laminated hardwood and reinforces the top layer, wherein the bottom layer of fiber-reinforced polymer composite extends laterally outwardly by a distance up to two inches (2) from the first lateral side of the top layer, and wherein a part of the bottom layer of the composite wood floor board is bonded to the top layer with a first adhesive and a part of the bottom layer is bonded with a second adhesive or sealant.
