Skid plate
A skid plate for a powertrain component of a vehicle includes a base and first and second flanges at opposing edges of the base. The base includes a notch to form a tow point when attached to a V shaped tow frame member.
VEHICLE
A golf car includes a frame including main frames and cross members, an undercover that includes a front cover and a rear cover and is supported by the frame, and an engine room including an underside defined by the undercover. The front cover includes a rear end region provided with pawls. The rear cover includes a front end region provided with pawls. All of the pawls are engaged with the cross member. The front cover is fixed to the cross member and the main frames with fasteners, and the rear cover includes a rear end region fixed to the main frames with fasteners. The front cover and the rear cover include water drainage holes.
Vehicle protection apparatus
A protective panel for a vehicle substantially conforming to a portion of a vehicle. The protective panel having an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface, the lower surface having a reduced surface area in order to limit force applied to the protective panel and the vehicle. The panel further having an edge portion disposed along a perimeter, between the upper and lower surface, for deflecting obstacles, and one or more mounting points for removably attaching the protection panel to a portion of the exterior of a vehicle.
DEPLOYABLE DEBRIS PROTECTION DEVICE FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a body with an underbody portion having an outer periphery. At least one traction wheel is rotatably coupled to the body. The traction wheel has a track width defined by an inboard plane and an outboard plane. A movable panel with an inboard edge and an outboard edge is coupled to the underbody portion. An actuator is coupled to the movable panel and configured to actuate the movable panel between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the deployed position the outboard edge projects outboard of the outboard plane of the track width, and in the stowed position the outboard edge is retracted within the outer periphery of the underbody portion. A controller is configured to, in response to an operating condition being satisfied during a drive cycle, control the actuator to actuate the movable panel from the stowed position to the deployed position.
Spare wheel cavity
The present disclosure relates to a spare wheel cavity for a vehicle. The spare wheel cavity is configured to store a collision-sensitive object and comprises a bottom wall and a side wall. The spare wheel cavity further comprises a carrier plate directly or indirectly attached to the bottom wall and a reinforcement structure located in or at the bottom wall in front of the carrier plate and/or below a front portion of the carrier plate. The carrier plate is configured to carry the collision-sensitive object on an object carrying portion of the carrier plate. The disclosure further relates to an arrangement comprising the spare wheel cavity, as well as a collision-sensitive object and/or a spare wheel. The disclosure also relates to a method of reducing a risk of a stack-up problem in case of a rear collision.
Skid plate and underbody assembly for use with an off-road vehicle
A skid plate for use with a vehicle. The skid plate includes a body portion including a front edge and a rear edge, and at least one protective wall extending from the front edge of the body portion. The at least one protective wall includes a first end and a second end, and the at least one protective wall is contoured such that the first end is defined at the front edge and the second end is positioned a distance from the front edge.
Foldable underbody panel
An underbody panel for a motor vehicle is composed of a lightweight sandwich material and is configured as a single part with at least one continuous folding connection (12) that is arranged between first and second portions of the underbody panel (14). The first and second portions can be folded together via the folding connection (12) and, in the folded state, are substantially parallel to each other to reduce a size of the underbody panel during transport and storage. Additionally, the underbody panel is gap-free when installed on a motor vehicle.
NETWORK STRUCTURE, SHOCK-ABSORBING BODY, VEHICLE, AND DESIGN METHOD OF NETWORK STRUCTURE
A network structure is formed in a three-dimensional mesh shape in which a plurality of polyhedron frames are arranged. Each polyhedron frame is formed by a plurality of apexes disposed in a three-dimensional space and connecting members for connecting the apexes. The plurality of polyhedron frames are regularly arranged so that the polyhedron frames are displaced at a constant degree when a constant load is applied.
INTEGRATED SKID PLATE HEAT DISSIPATOR
A component for a vehicle includes a skid plate configured to attach to an underbody of the vehicle, a plurality of cooling channels extending in a longitudinal direction between the skid plate and the underbody of the vehicle, and a structural reinforcement extending outward from the skid plate. The skid plate, the plurality of cooling channels, and the structural reinforcement are additively manufactured in a unitary construction.
Rapid Underbody Kit Deployment Crate
A method of installing an underbody kit to a vehicle comprising providing a rapid underbody kit deployment crate comprising a pallet, at least one inflatable bladder, and at least one cover; removing the at least one cover from the pallet; placing the underbody kit onto the pallet and the at least one inflatable bladder; securing the at least one cover back onto the pallet; transporting the rapid underbody kit deployment crate to an assembly location; removing the at least one cover from the pallet; driving the vehicle over the rapid underbody kit deployment crate; inflating the at least one inflatable bladder to vertically lift the underbody kit into installation position; installing the underbody kit to an underbody of the vehicle; deflating the at least one inflatable bladder by releasing the fluid from the at least one inflatable bladder; and driving the vehicle away from the rapid underbody kit deployment crate.
