Vehicle frame rails and methods of assembling vehicle frame rails
A vehicle frame rail includes a first half having a hole, a second half having a hole, a spacer locating member and a spacer. The second half is connected to the first half such that the hole in the first half is aligned with the hole in the second half and so as to form an enclosed space between the first half and the second half. The spacer locating member has a body section and a hole. The body section of the spacer locating member is spaced apart from the first half and the second half. The spacer has a first end, a second end and a bore extending from the first end to the second end. The spacer is located in the hole of the spacer locating member such that the bore is aligned with the hole in the first half and the hole in the second half.
Reinforced rail assembly
The present disclosure relates to a rail assembly that includes an outer rail and an inner rail opposite to the outer rail. The rail assembly also includes a cavity formed between the outer rail and the inner rail. The rail assembly further includes a first corner reinforcement coupled to the outer rail and the inner rail in such a way that at least a portion of the first corner reinforcement is located in the cavity. The rail assembly also includes a second corner reinforcement coupled to the outer rail and the inner rail in such a way that at least a portion of the first corner reinforcement is located in the cavity.
Vehicle cargo structure
A vehicle cargo structure includes a reinforcement panel, an upright strut member having an upper end, a front wall structure having an attachment bracket fixed to an outboard upper end of the front wall structure and a bracket. The bracket is fixedly attached to a forward portion of the reinforcement panel and the upper end of the upright strut member. The bracket is further secured to the attachment bracket of the front wall structure via mechanical fasteners.
Upper Body Structure for Vehicle Body
An embodiment upper body structure for a vehicle body includes a front body configured to be mounted on a front portion of an under body of the vehicle body, the front body including front side sills respectively disposed at two opposite sides thereof based on a vehicle width direction and center pillars respectively coupled to the front side sills, each of the center pillars including a quadrangular closed cross-section defined by coupling a center pillar outer member and a center pillar inner member and an outer flange portion extending in a forward/rearward direction of the vehicle body.
Structural Battery for an Electric Vehicle
An embodiment structural battery includes a plurality of cylinder members, terminals and wiring electrically connecting the cylinder members, and a plurality of joint members mechanically connecting the cylinder members to form a framework of a vehicle body. An embodiment electric vehicle includes a vehicle body including a plurality of cylinder members mechanically connected to each other by a plurality of joint members, a battery including the cylinder members, terminals and wiring electrically connecting the cylinder members, and a body panel coupled to an exterior surface of the cylinder members.
Side Body Structure for Vehicle
An embodiment side body structure for a vehicle includes a center pillar including an outer flange part extending from an outer surface of the center pillar in a vehicle body length direction and a glass coupled to the outer flange part. Another embodiment side body structure for a vehicle includes a center pillar including an outer flange part extending along a vehicle body length direction and coupled to a side sill and a joint member coupled to the outer flange part and the side sill in a vertical direction.
Vehicle Body Joint Structure
An embodiment joint structure for a vehicle body is provided. The vehicle body includes an underbody and an upper body coupled to the underbody, and the joint structure includes a front bulkhead coupled to an inside of each side sill of a pair of side sills provided on both sides of the upper body, respectively, a rear bulkhead coupled to the inside of each side sill of the pair of side sills on a rear side of the front bulkhead, and a support bracket coupled to the front bulkhead and the rear bulkhead along a length direction of the vehicle body.
VEHICLE BODY SIDE STRUCTURE
The present invention provides a vehicle body side structure in which a center pillar (pillar) which extends upward from a side sill having a hollow cross section forms a closed cross section with a pillar inner thereof and a stiffener joined to an outer side in a vehicle-width direction of the pillar inner, and the stiffener has a protruding shape which protrudes outward in the vehicle-width direction, wherein the stiffener has an insertion portion into a cross section of the side sill, and has a fragile portion above the side sill.
STRUCTURE OF PURPOSE-BUILT VEHICLE
A structure of a purpose-built vehicle, includes a vehicle body cross member coupled to a floor panel in a lower side of the floor panel of a vehicle body, a frame including frame side members and a frame cross member and coupled to a lower side of the vehicle body, a plurality of connection brackets located between the vehicle body cross member and the frame cross member, and fastening bolts coupled to the connection brackets while penetrating the frame cross member and a battery casing configured to accommodate a high-voltage battery.
Vehicle body lateral section structure
A lateral section structure (10) of a vehicle body is equipped with a center pillar (14) which extends in a vertical direction and in which an outer panel (31) and an inner panel (32) are joined. An opening section (96) into which a seatbelt component (50) is inserted is formed in the inner panel. The outer panel has a lower section and an upper section. The lower section forms a lower portion of the outer panel. The upper section overlaps the lower section and extends upward. A lower end of the upper section is inclined upward or downward in a forward-rearward direction of a vehicle body along a lower end of an overlapping section in which the lower section and the upper section overlap and are joined to each other, and is disposed at a position at which the lower end of the upper section faces the opening section.
