SIDE RIGIDITY REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
A side rigidity reinforcement structure of a vehicle includes: a side sill which is extended in a front and rear direction of the vehicle and includes a side sill inner reinforcement and a side sill outer reinforcement; a first center floor cross member disposed in a width direction of the vehicle and bonded to a center floor panel; and a side arch reinforcement formed to be convex upward and having a center portion spaced apart from the center floor panel. In particular, the side arch reinforcement includes: a first end penetrating the side sill inner reinforcement so to be bonded on an inner lower surface of the side sill outer reinforcement while supporting the side sill inner reinforcement, and a second end connected to the first center floor cross member to transfer a shock force input from the side sill outer reinforcement to the first center floor cross member.
Systems and methods for arc and node design and manufacture
A metal extrusion and nodes based structure is provided. The structure comprises one or more arc members connected by one or more node members, wherein the arc comprises (i) a wing feature which is configured to mate with one or more non-structural components, (ii) an internal passage feature which is configured to be inserted into a connecting feature of the corresponding node member, and (iii) one or more keying features formed from a mating interface with the corresponding node member.
Upper vehicle-body structure
An upper vehicle-body structure includes a roof reinforcement having a width in a vehicle front-rear direction to serve as a bridge between a pair of roof side rails in a vehicle width direction and a reinforcement member on the roof reinforcement and diagonally extending in the vehicle front-rear direction. The brace is joined to the roof reinforcement at positions at which a front end portion and a rear end portion of the brace in the vehicle front-rear direction are offset from each other in the vehicle width direction.
Vehicle body roof structure
A vehicle body roof includes: a plurality of assembly rails spaced apart from each other in the lateral direction of the vehicle and extending in a forward-backward direction; a first roof rail disposed between the assembly rails; the first roof rail extending in the lateral direction toward the assembly rails and detachably mounted to the assembly rails; and a second roof rail extending in a predetermined shape according to a type of vehicle body and detachably mounted at an end portion thereof to an end portion of each of the assembly rails.
MODULAR CHASSIS
A modular chassis is provided for an off-road vehicle to improve assembly, servicing, and repairing of a drivetrain of the off-road vehicle. The modular chassis includes a chassis to support components of the off-road vehicle. A front frame module couples with a front of the chassis, and a rear frame module couples with a rear of the chassis. The front frame module supports lower suspension arms of the off-road vehicle by way of inboard bushing joints. The front frame module supports at least a steering gear and a front differential of the off-road vehicle. The rear frame module is a tube-frame structure that supports components of the off-road vehicle. A lower portion of the rear frame module extends rearward and acutely upward to a top frame member that couples with upper side portions of the chassis. Several cross-members impart structural integrity to the rear frame module.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR JOINING NODES AND OTHER STRUCTURES
An additively manufactured node is disclosed. A node is an additively manufactured (AM) structure that includes a feature, e.g., a socket, a channel, etc., for accepting another structure, e.g., a tube, a panel, etc. The node can include a node surface of a receptacle extending into the node. The receptacle can receive a structure, and a seal interface on the node surface can seat a seal member between the node surface and the structure to create an adhesive region between the node and the structure, the adhesive region being bounded by the node surface, the structure, and the seal member. The node can also include two channels connecting an exterior surface of the node to the adhesive region. In this way, adhesive can be injected into the adhesive region between the node and the structure, and the adhesive can be contained by the seal member.
VEHICLE FRAME RAILS AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING VEHICLE FRAME RAILS
A vehicle frame rail includes a first half having a hole, a second half having a hole, a spacer locating member and a spacer. The second half is connected to the first half such that the hole in the first half is aligned with the hole in the second half and so as to form an enclosed space between the first half and the second half. The spacer locating member has a body section and a hole. The body section of the spacer locating member is spaced apart from the first half and the second half. The spacer has a first end, a second end and a bore extending from the first end to the second end. The spacer is located in the hole of the spacer locating member such that the bore is aligned with the hole in the first half and the hole in the second half.
FRONT BODY REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE
A front body reinforcement structure for a vehicle includes: a front side member connected to a dash panel; a front pillar which is disposed in a height direction of a vehicle body and has a lower part connected to the front side member; a front side upper member connecting a front of the front side member and an upper part of the front pillar; and a reinforcement unit that is connected with the dash panel and connects a rear of the front side member and an upper portion of the front pillar.
Vehicle Body Joint Structure
An embodiment vehicle body coupling structure of a vehicle that includes an underbody and an upper body coupled to the underbody includes a front back beam assembly provided on a front side of the underbody, a first mounting part provided on a front side member of the upper body and coupled with the front back beam assembly, and a first body coupling part provided on the front back beam assembly and engaged with the first mounting part.
TRUCK BRACKET ASSEMBLY
A truck bracket assembly including a first bracket and a second bracket. The first bracket is provided to mount a sports bar to a side panel of a vehicle truck bed. The first bracket has a panel facing surface that faces the side panel. The second bracket has a first portion supported to the panel facing surface of the first bracket. The second bracket has a second portion that extends cantilevered with respect to the first portion.
