Clamshell Structural Reinforcement
A structural reinforcement utilized to reinforce a structural joint of a vehicle, and method of enforcing a structural joint of a vehicle. The structural reinforcement having a clamshell structure comprising two complimentary halves. The structural reinforcement further comprising an activatable composition.
STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A structure includes: a first member made of metal having a tubular shape, and having a through-insertion hole; a second member made of resin and joined to the first member; and a third member made of metal having a tubular shape, and inserted through inside the first member. The third member is tube-expanded toward the first member and joined to the first member by press-fitting.
CHASSIS FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES HAVING AT LEAST ONE CRAWL SPACE
A recreational vehicle may include a chassis, at least one axle assembly, and a vehicle body. The vehicle body may be supported by the chassis. The axle assembly may be coupled to the chassis and may provide motive support and underbody clearance to the chassis. The chassis may include a plurality of longitudinal main rails that span at least a portion of a length of the recreational vehicle and define a length of at least one crawl space. The plurality of lateral crawl space cross members may extend between and interconnect the plurality of longitudinal main rails and define a width of the at least one crawl space. A floor of the recreational vehicle, the plurality of longitudinal main rails, and the plurality of lateral crawl space cross members may collectively define the at least one crawl space.
Vehicle frame structural member assembly and method
A vehicle frame structural member assembly method includes an elongated frame member and a reinforcement member. The reinforcement member is complementarily arranged adjacent the elongated frame member.
CURVED PANEL PART
A curved panel part includes: a curved panel made of metal; and a reinforcement joined to the curved panel and made of a plurality of FRP layers including continuous fibers, in which each of the plurality of FRP layers has a single fiber direction, at least one layer out of the plurality of FRP layers has a fiber direction different from that of another layer, in the plurality of FRP layers, a proportion of layers having an angular difference in the fiber direction of 30° or more is 15% or more of all of the layers, and when calculating, by defining a maximum principal curvature direction of the curved panel as a 0° direction and a direction orthogonal to the 0° direction as a 90° direction, each of a 0° direction component and a 90° direction component regarding the fiber direction of each FRP layer of the reinforcement joined to the curved panel, by using a trigonometric function, an expression (1) is satisfied.
Component Assembly
A component assembly consists of a first, largely dimensionally stable component having at least two latching protrusions, which are largely diametrically opposed to each other and by which a second, flexible component can be positioned. The second component has cutouts corresponding to the latching protrusions. In an assembled end position, the latching protrusions are positionally fixed in the cutouts. At least one latching protrusion transitions, at the front and at the rear with respect to a positioning direction, into the first component at a largely right angle. Because of the design, very accurate positional fixing between the first component and the second component is possible.
Structural member for vehicle
A structural member for vehicle 1 includes: a hollow member 10 made of metal, the hollow member 10 including cutout forming portions 12 arranged along a member longitudinal direction of the hollow member, the cutout forming portions 12 each having a cutout 13; and reinforcing parts 20 made of FRP, the reinforcing parts 20 bonded to the hollow member 10, the reinforcing parts 20 covering each of the cutouts 13 in each of the cutout forming portions 12, in which a first cutout forming portion 12a having the cutout 13 in the first region R.sub.1 and a second cutout forming portion 12b having the cutout 13 in the second region R.sub.2 are arranged alternately along the member longitudinal direction of the hollow member 10.
CORNER PATCH
The present application relates to a reinforcement element (30) arranged to be attached to a profile (10) for forming a B-pillar for a vehicle, which profile (10) is arranged with attachment areas (22, 24) for door hinges, characterised in that the reinforcement element (30) is designed with two elongated strips (32, 34) of material, wherein the strips (32, 34) are inter-connected at least at one attachment area (22) for door hinges when the reinforcement element (30) is attached to profile (10), wherein the profile (10) is hat-shaped with a central flange (12) and two sides (14, 6), and wherein each strip (32, 34) is attached to the transition area (36, 38) between the central flange (12) and a side (14, 16). The present application also 10 relates to a B-pillar provided with the reinforcement element as well as a method of manufacturing a B-pillar with the reinforcement element.
Hollow Chamber Support Assembly For A Vehicle
A hollow chamber support assembly for a vehicle comprising a hollow chamber support, an insert component designed as a hollow chamber profile, which is arranged in the hollow chamber support with the outer sides of the walls of the insert component spaced apart from the inner wall of the hollow chamber support, and means for holding a first end section of the insert component on an end of the hollow chamber support in its arrangement provided in the hollow chamber support(. The means are designed as clamping means and comprise a clamping element and an abutment element, wherein to clamp the insert component, the clamping element is supported on the abutment element and, in this supported arrangement, acts against the outer side of at least one wall of the insert component.
