A snow vehicle includes a vehicle body and a member. The vehicle body includes a forward frame and a tunnel. The member includes a tubular support and a first end secured to the forward frame. The forward frame includes a tube extending downward and rearward from a steering column mount. The tube of the forward frame is secured with the tubular support to define a continuous tube extending from the steering column mount to the member.

Manufacturing process for electric vehicle platform

Processes for producing an electric vehicle include manufacture of a lower body skateboard platform including at least energy storage/conversion (batteries within a ladder frame), propulsion, suspension and wheels, steering, crash protection, and braking, and manufacture of a top hat upper portion including at least the vehicle cabin housing various interior components such as passenger seats, frame covers, and a roof headliner, together with steering and acceleration controls. The upper body portion and the lower body platform are manufactured separately in parallel and then merged, which allows for ease of manufacture and a more compact design.

VEHICLE COMPONENT AND METHOD

A method and system are provided for a fiberglass component for vehicles. A vehicle component has a pultruded fiberglass-reinforced polymer body made of a glass fabric and a cured polymer resin. The body is integrally formed by a pultrusion manufacturing process as a vehicle hatch cover and is shaped to seal an opening of the vehicle.

Heated vehicle header

In various aspects, the present disclosure provides a component. The vehicle component includes a polymer matrix, a plurality of fibers in the polymer matrix, and a heating element embedded in the polymer matrix. The heating element may be (i) a discrete heating element, (ii) at least a portion of the plurality of fibers, or both (i) and (ii). The heating element is configured to be coupled to an external circuit to generate heat. In one aspect, the vehicle component is a vehicle header including an elongated body extending between a first side and a second side.

Vehicle structural component, modular system and method for producing vehicle structural components

A vehicle structural component includes a main body having a receptacle and a first insert for reinforcing the vehicle structural component. The insert is accommodated in the receptacle and only partially fills the latter. At least one further insert fits in the receptacle. A modular system for producing vehicle structural components and a method for producing vehicle structural components are provided.

Laminated vehicle glass

A laminated vehicle glass has an outer glass, an intermediate layer arrangement, an inner glass, a first color carrier and a second color carrier. The outer glass is at least partly adhesively bonded to the inner glass via the intermediate layer arrangement. The first color carrier is formed as a print with a first printing ink on the inner side of the outer glass. The second color carrier is formed as a print with a printing ink or as a film and has a second color. The second color carrier is provided in at least some regions on the side of the first color carrier that faces away from the outer glass. The first color and second color are different, at least in some regions. The second color is provided in a frame-like region of the laminated vehicle glass.

In certain embodiments, land vehicles are provided as delivery vehicles and/or utility vehicles. A land vehicle includes a frame structure having a front cage that defines an operator cabin and a rear floor positioned rearward of the front cage. The frame structure supports a plurality of wheels to permit movement of the vehicle relative to an underlying surface in use of the land vehicle. An underside of the frame structure is disposed in confronting relation with the underlying surface.

Protective covers for weld-on fasteners and welding processes using cover-protected weld-on fasteners

Presented are protective covers for weldable fasteners, methods for making/using such cover-protected weldable fasteners, and motor vehicles with such covered fasteners welded to load-bearing structural members. A weldable fastener assembly includes a fastener, such as a weld-on nut or clip retainer, that is fabricated with a shank and a flange. One end of the shank has a fastener hole that receives therethrough a mating fastener, such as a bolt, screw, stud, or clip. The flange is formed, in whole or in part, from a weldable material for welding to a load-bearing panel or other structural support member. The flange may be integrally formed with and project radially outward from the shank. A protective cover is attached to the flange and covers the fastener hole. The protective cover is frangible and formed, in whole or in part, from a material designed to withstand the temperature at which the weldable material melts.

MODULAR STRUCTURAL COMPOSITES FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS

A modular composite structure containing multiple individual composite structures attached together. The individual composite structures form sections of a vehicle component. The composite structures are lightweight and made of materials that can function to absorb energy or attenuate vibration or noise. The composite structures contain a core material adhered to a fiber layer and a fiber reinforcement region for improving the strength and stiffness of the modular composite structure. The modular composite structure can include multiple floor pan segments that can be attached to a central composite structure that can be a utility tunnel or housing.
