Spline joints and container having same
A container includes a first contoured edge of a first wall panel, a second contoured edge of a second wall panel, and a spline with a first channel that receives the first contoured edge and a second channel that receives the second contoured edge to form a spline joint securing the first and second wall panels together. The first and second channels are symmetrical with openings in opposite directions
Cylindrical Semi-Trailer
A cylindrical cargo container is formed of longitudinal, extruded arcuate panels joined pairwise at abutting edges to form a cylindrical tube. The container is mountable on a separate wheeled chassis to form a semi-trailer or railcar, or a chassis integral with a truck. The container may be substantially smooth on inner and outer surfaces, to provide optimal aerodynamics and freedom of motion of cargo within the container. The panels may have inner and outer skins bridged by multiple webs. Such structure may provide protection from punctures to the outer or inner skins. The container is useful to transport waste including municipal or industrial waste, and may be part of a tipper trailer. The container, trailer, truck, or railcar may be used with a compactor for compacting the waste within the container.
TRAILER OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
The present disclosure provides a trailer of a recreational vehicle (RV). The trailer includes a plurality of modules. Each module has at least one mechanism for connecting to another module. The modules are assembled to define a body of the trailer.
Detachable, modular vehicle conversion systems and methods thereof
The present invention discloses a detachable, modular vehicle conversion system with universal adapter couplers and adapters to enable conversion of a vehicle, such as a van, cargo van, or trailer from a single-purpose vehicle to one that accommodates a variety of auxiliary units for camping, mobile offices, or industrial purposes, and which allows the user to switch between different uses. This modular conversion system has components that allow for different configurations that can be readily changed to suit the user's needs.
Cylindrical Cargo Container Construction
A method of manufacturing a cylindrical cargo container includes: providing a plurality of rigid panels together formable into a cylindrical shell; forming a first semi-cylindrical shell from a first set of the panels; forming a second semi-cylindrical shell from a second set of the panels; forming the cylindrical shell from the first semi-cylindrical shell and the second semi-cylindrical shell; forming a collar conformably encircling the cylindrical shell; constricting the collar to compress joints formed at abutting edges of pairs of adjacent panels; rolling the cylindrical shell and collar to bring respective joints of pairs of panels to a lower position, and welding an inside seam of the joint when at the lower position; removing the collar from the cylindrical shell; and rolling the cylindrical shell to bring respective joints of pairs of panels to an upper position, and welding an outside of the joint when at the upper position.
Floor assembly and floor securing apparatus
A floor securing apparatus comprises a riser slot formed in a floor riser transverse to a longitudinal axis of the floor riser, the floor riser configured to support a floor sheet and a key including a locking head and at least one anchor tab, wherein the key is slidable into the riser slot transverse to the longitudinal axis of the floor riser, wherein the key is configured to engage a portion of the floor sheet to prevent vertical movement of the floor sheet relative to the floor riser.
Inner wall system for cargo container
A wall system for a cargo container is provided. The wall system includes a plurality of panels that are configured to be fixed to logistics posts in a cargo compartment. Each panel includes a central portion and right and left end portions that are disposed on respective outboard sides of the central portion, the central portion includes a planar wall surface, the right and left end portions each include a planar wall surface. The central portion comprises two or more recessed portions that extend inwardly from the planar wall surface to define an elongate void that is configured to receive an elongate track therein, such that an outer surface of the elongate track, when disposed within the recessed portion, is co-planar with the planar wall surface of the central portion or disposed within the recessed portion and recessed behind the planar wall surface of the central portion.
ROLL OVER PROTECTION SYSTEM
A support frame assembly configured to strengthen an upper frame portion of a frame of a vehicle, comprising a first frame member having a first end and a second end, and a second frame member having a first end and a second end, wherein both the first ends of the first and second frame members are configured to couple to a front half of the frame and the second ends of the first and second frame members are configured to couple to the front half of the frame to strengthen the upper frame portion, at least one of the first and second ends of each of the first and second frame members including at least one mechanically coupled joint configured for coupling each of the first and second frame members to the front half of the frame
